A tale of two calls — who's lying?

One phone call. Two wildly different stories. The question isn't just what Trump said to Netanyahu. It's which side you trust — the Americans who leaked the profanity, or the Israelis who deny it ever happened.

According to the American version, Trump screamed, "What the f*** are you doing? You're f****** crazy. You'd be in prison if it weren't for me. Everybody hates you now. Everybody hates Israel because of this."

Meanwhile, Netanyahu's own staff denies this. Was the exchange tense? Yes. But no cursing, no prison threats, no personal attacks. Trump simply said defending Israel is "difficult" and fuels "hostility."

Here's where it gets interesting: Trump himself confirmed the American version. Asked directly if he called Netanyahu "f***ing crazy," he said: "I did."

So who's lying?

Is it Netanyahu's team? Are they spinning the story to save face after getting steamrolled into canceling a Beirut strike?

Or are the U.S. officials being dishonest? Could they have intentionally described a profanity-laced call to convince Iran that Trump really can control Israel, and to show Congress who's actually in charge?

Both sides agree that the call was tense, that Israel agreed not to strike Beirut unless attacked first, and that Trump told Netanyahu Israel's global standing is a problem.

The rest? Pick your narrator. But when the president confirms the profanity and the prime minister's aides deny it, someone's not telling the truth.

US-Iran: Will We Face Armageddon 2.0 ?

The US has carried out new strikes inside Iran, targeting a military facility and downing Iranian attack drones, US officials said.

US Central Command forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that posed a threat around the strait of Hormuz, according to US officials, who were not authorised to comment publicly and spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The fresh strikes, combined with the latest strident remarks from Trump about Iran, Oman and the strait of Hormuz, underscored how far apart the US and Iran appear to be in talks aimed at ending the war.

Meanwhile, in Lebanon, Israel launched broad strikes and declared a huge swathe of the south a new combat zone.

After saying over the weekend that a deal was close, Trump on Wednesday threatened to “finish the job” if Tehran did not agree to deal.

At the cabinet meeting, Trump also appeared to direct a warning at Oman, a US ally, when asked about a possible short-term arrangement allowing Iran and Oman to control the strait of Hormuz, which remains choked off.

Trump said the strait would be “open to everybody” and “and Oman will behave just like everybody else or we’ll have to blow them up.” The White House did not immediately clarify whether Trump had misspoken.

Iranian state TV had earlier claimed it had obtained an unofficial draft of an agreement that would restore commercial shipping through the strait to prewar levels within a month, with Iran and Oman jointly managing traffic. The White House called the report a “complete fabrication”.

Another key issue unresolved is if a US-Iran ceasefire will cover Israel’s operations against Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed militant group in Lebanon. Iran has insisted Lebanon must be covered by any ceasefire agreement negotiated with the US.

On Tuesday the Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said his military is “deepening its operation” in Lebanon; and overnight Israel’s military clashed with Hezbollah fighters along a strategic river in southern Lebanon as Israeli troops pushed farther north.

Hezbollah described “point-blank range” combat with Israeli forces in a strategic town just beyond an Israeli-declared “yellow line” in the country’s south.

Early on Thursday, Israel’s military issued further evacuation warnings for residents of Tyre in Lebanon’s south.

More than 1.2 million Lebanese have been displaced by Israeli strikes and evacuation orders since 2 March, when Hezbollah fired at Israel in support of Iran.

Since then, Israeli strikes have pummelled Lebanon’s south, east and its capital Beirut, killing more than 3,200 people, according to Lebanon’s health ministry.

The Israeli military said that 10 of its soldiers had been killed since the ceasefire, six by Hezbollah’s explosive drones.

The Polish defense industry is entering a critical phase where the primary bottleneck is no longer a lack of orders, but a severe shortage of personnel 🛠📉.

Against the backdrop of the SAFE program, new contracts, the localization of South Korean and American systems, and the growth of PGZ and private players, Warsaw is facing a classic military economy challenge: financial decisions have been made, political statements have been made, but factories, design bureaus, testing centers, and logistics require people that are not available on the market 👷‍♂️🏭.

According to Deloitte's estimates, by 2035, the Polish defense sector, along with the armed forces and technical support, may require approximately 250,000 new employees 📊. The problem is exacerbated by demographics: in the same period, the number of working-age people in Poland could decrease by about 800,000. This means that Warsaw is embarking on large-scale militarization at a time when its own workforce is shrinking.

The financial scale increases the pressure dramatically. Poland is receiving the largest SAFE loan package from the EU, worth 43.7 billion euros. The timeline is strict: the funds must be converted into real deliveries, infrastructure, and production capacities within the current rearmament cycle ⏳

How Republicans Leaving Politics Can Get Back at Trump

Donald Trump is successfully promoting his candidates in the primaries, leaving behind unpopular Republicans like Texas Senator John Cornyn and Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie.

At the same time, until the new Congress convenes in January 2027, both the Senate and the House of Representatives will continue to be staffed by Republicans who are angry about the lack of presidential support and have nothing left to lose politically.

Despite the fact that these angry Republicans are a minority in the party, they have the power to disrupt the administration's work until January.

If we take into account Trump's traditional opponents In the Senate he could lose up to five votes.

If we also take into account those who are not in favor of Trump, he loses up to 18 votes in the House of Representatives.
This means that all of these "unreliable votes" in Congress will have more than six months to serve before they no longer need to align with Trump.
