Remember the last time the USA pushed ahead with a war that it couldn't get all its Nato allies to sign up for? Remember the 'coalition of the willing'?

Watch out for a re-run in the coming days.

Look at this map and you'll see why some countries in Europe are more gung-ho than others about picking a fight with Russia.

Meanwhile, the USA wants to corner the European gas market for its own monopolies.

This is fantastic news for the Syrian people, desperate to rebuild their shattered country.

Join us THIS Wednesday for the NEXT installment of our weekly Wednesday broadcasts with party leader George Galloway, this week discussing war and Johnson. #War #Johnson #BorisJohnson

🔷 New Twitter Thread!

Unsurprisingly, the episode doesn't show up on the BBC's Hard Talk website nor its social media accounts. Can't have too much of someone talking sense now can we?
Here's the direct link, but if you go on the main page or look under "Episodes" you can't find it. Peculiar.

How do you like your capitalism, red or blue🤔

You can tell a lot about somebody by the issues they prioritise. And you can tell a lot about whether an issue is really important to the cause of the working class by how our rulers respond to it.

They are very happy for us to keep ourselves busy with the culture wars. They will amplify the voices on all sides and encourage us to fight it out.

They are rather less disposed to assist us when we stand against their real agenda. If you want to know why it's not 'fashionable' to be antiwar, think about who sets the fashion. And why.

There are major splits emerging within the NATO imperialist alliance:

Germany blocked fellow NATO member Estonia from sending weapons to Ukraine

British planes also took a long detour around Germany to send arms to Ukraine.

Germany doesn't want war with Russia (largely because it wants to buy cheap Russian energy), but some NATO members do.

We really need to translate all that anger and defiance into a united campaign by staff and patients to renationalise the NHS.

The imperialists are throwing weapons into #Ukraine like smarties. Lucky for us there are cooler heads on #Russia's side of the border.

Our lot are doing their best to provoke WW3. Why? For control of markets, resources and avenues of profitable investment.

Could it be any clearer that capitalism has outlived its usefulness to humanity?

I don't suppose there will be much outrage about this denial of internet to an entire nation in western media. In fact, we'll be hard pressed to find a mention of it ...

"Like the trend of fire and rehire across industry, the vaccine mandate will allow the state to sack thousands of workers who are in secure long-term employment, with pensions and paid leave, and hire them back at a later date on precarious contracts with no benefits when the full effect of the mandate is borne out in bottleknecks for healthcare and treatment."

A reminder to check out this excellent article on Boris's partygate troubles.

What is partygate really about? What can workers learn from it? And why is the Westminster commentariat so up in arms about this particular piece of hypocrisy and corruption as opposed to all the other -- far more serious -- crimes of Johnson and co?

Ft reports today on a 'highly charged' speech aimed at Russia and China given by foreign secretary Liz Truss. Speaking in Melbourne, Australia, she has called for liberal governments to ‘face down global aggressors’.

Translation: I am ready and willing to serve the pro-war establishment as PM if you've had enough of Boris and need a new frontman/woman.

It was my great honour to interview Minister Michael Campbell this week, minister of international relations for the Nicaraguan government.

He outlined how the country's established people-focused healthcare system means that alongside fighting many other dangerous tropical diseases and chronic conditions, Nicaragua's health teams have been able to keep Covid deaths in the country to below 300!! That's not a statistic you'll be reading in the corporate media any time soon ...

We also talked about Nicaragua's approach to participatory government, which is known as the 'people's presidency', and which is the reason the country has made such spectacular advances in such a short time, and why the working masses are so staunchly behind their leaders.

If you want something to restore your faith in human nature and the bright future that awaits the working classes, take a listen!

The failed coup attempt in Kazakhstan needs to be understood in the wider context of the USA's drive to contain the rise of Russia and China, and of its ongoing military provocations against both countries.
