Ash-Shaykh Abdul-Azīz ar-Rājihi حفظه الله said:
'Indeed with the lack of capability of praying the 'Eid prayer in the places of prayer and the masājid, then it should be prayed at home either in congregation or individually, and this is the opinion of the majority of scholars and the preferred stance of Shaykh al-Islām ibn Taymiyyah owing to incapabilty. It is (also) the preferred stance of Imām al-Bukhārī and our esteemed Shaykh Ibn Bāz. And it is to be prayed without a sermon. There are three opinions pertaining to its number of units and the correct opinion is two units of prayer. It should be prayed in the same manner and at the same time'.
