Things like this are the only reason the so called "internet of things" even exists, so the system can maliciously take away your amenities over perceived slights, political disagreements or just because they fucking wanted to. Every solitary Xcel customer who still had a normal, non-"smart" thermostat was perfectly fine. Now extend this principle out to cars, digital house locks, etc, and you have a vision of the very near future.

You can almost feel the bloodthirsty rage from whatever midwit yid who wrote this speech.
