A reveller has dragged The Tunnel, a nightclub located at the Pili Trade Centre along Mombasa Road, to court after his vehicle was broken into and valuables stolen.

Court papers show that the complainant was partying inside the club on the night of April 20, 2024, when his vehicle's window was smashed and unknown people got access into his vehicle.

A laptop, a laptop bag, and other personal items were allegedly stolen during the incident, the claimant arguing that the security officers at The Tunnel were negligent in safeguarding his vehicle.

According to the suit filed at the Milimani Small Claims Court, the reveller is seeking compensation of KSh731,000 in special damages, costs of the claim, and other appropriate relief after The Tunnel's management was served with the pleadings but failed to file a response.

DONALD Trump wants USA out of World Health Organisation (WHO) on day one.

Members of Trump’s team told the experts of their intention to announce a withdrawal from the global health body on the president-elect’s January 20 inauguration. This is a follow up to 2020 when Trump accused WHO of being subservient to China's whims.

The departure would remove the WHO’s biggest source of funds, damaging its ability to respond to public health crises such as the coronavirus pandemic.

Trump has made appointments in the health department that are not pro-WHO and a lot of Covid-19 'silenced voices', such as those that raised alarm over vaccine injuries, etc, have come true in recent times.

Paul Sunday, a fourth-year university student, has died after being brutally tortured at the Dalawa Hotel & Restaurant in Homa Bay County.

Police say at least seven staff from the hotel (Jacob Okeyo Omollo, Baraka Odhiambo Jude, Monica Atieno, David Ochieng, Arnoder Atieno, Kennedy Ouma Otieno, and Pamela Onyango Otieno) have been arrested following the incident.

It remains unclear what prompted the attack on the final-year student at Tom Mboya University.

Police say Paul was found naked, bleeding, and unconscious, with his hands and legs tied and bearing multiple injuries. He had been tied to the metal bars of the hotel's counter.

The student was rushed to the Homabay County Referral Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

Police are still holding the seven suspects pending arraignment on Monday as investigations into the incident continue.

Police in Kisumu have arrested at least 70 minors, all aged below 16 years, at a house party in the city's Mountain View estate. Initial reports say the minors had organized the party and sent invites via Instagram.

The minors, both males and females, were arrested at a house party that had been attended by over 100 teenagers. Those arrested were found smoking bhang in groups inside the house whose owner is yet to be identified and is suspected to be a rented Airbnb.

Police say many others escaped arrest by jumping over the home's fence. The 70 arrested have been taken to Obunga Police Station.

The crackdown was launched by police after they were tipped off by a neighbour who was curious about the large number of young people arriving at the house and the loud music that was being played.

The party organizer is among those who fled the scene when police arrived.
