A terrorist friend of Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi, has been freed from jail.

Abdalraouf Abdallah, who was a childhood friend of Abedi, was released from HMP Full Sutton in East Yorkshire on Tuesday when his sentence came to an end.

The release came after the Parole Board had refused to free him early because he had still been considered a "high risk of serious harm" and was considered to have had a "high propensity to radicalise others".

The 31-year-old had been recalled to prison for breaching licence conditions in 2021.

Despite losing his latest parole board appeal two months ago, Abdallah was eligible for automatic release from prison because his sentence - set in court by a judge - had expired.

Prisons are filled with English political prisoners, whilst jihadists, known to be likely to try and help kill children again, are free to roam our streets on "technicalities".

Donald Trump is more popular in Britain than Sir Keir Starmer, exclusive polling for The Telegraph has shown.

A survey conducted by Freshwater Strategy shows Mr Trump, the president-elect, has a net favourability in Britain of -24 points while the Prime Minister scored -30.

Similarly Elon Musk has a higher net favourability among UK voters than Sir Keir. He is looked on unfavourably by most voters, but less so than the prime minister with a -17 popularity rating.

Police are concerned for the welfare of a 12-year-old girl who is missing from home and is believed to be with a man in his 20s.

Isabelle Lindsay-Nandra, known as Bella, was last seen four days ago after she left school at 3.30pm in Bexleyheath on November 26.

She may be in the company of a man, described as black, in his 20s with a small beard. He may be called Marshall or another name beginning with M.

She may also have been in the company of another man, described as South Asian, who had a physical fight with the other man.
