darpal rating went through 133 blockchain projects and their codebases to make a rating based on development activity. it is based on number of commits, commit quality, popularity of the library, number of contributors and release frequency. the top looks like this:

1. lisk
2. eos
3. cardano
4. aeternity
5. ethereum
6. particl
7. bitcoin
8. augur
9. 0x
10. tron

the result is much cleaner than of cryptomiso, however i still see some problems with this list. it excludes forks, however particl is a bitcoin fork and tron is an ethereumj fork. tezos is not included in the list because is uses gitlab instead of github.

off-chain whitelist

bluzelle has paid $12k in fees to whitelist 7.5k users. this article proposes an scheme that can eliminate those fees. users are given messages signed by the contract owner that contain contract address along with user address. this signature is passed along with the transaction and can be verified on-chain and used for access control.
