As Thanksgiving approaches us in the coming week, let us remember Thankfulness is tied to the Character of God. For when we base our Thankfulness in Him, it is a lasting thankfulness. Remembering the wonderful gift He gave us, sacrificing His Son on the cross in our stead, so that we may be adopted into His kingdom. In Him we find a Good that we can be eternally grateful for.
"God is the highest good of the reasonable creature. The enjoyment of Him is our proper; and is the only happiness with which our souls can be satisfied. To go to heaven, fully to enjoy God, is infinitely better than the most pleasant accommodations here.
