View from the USA. Europe's women leaders want war.

Ursula von der Leyen - President of the EU Commission, Annalena Burbok - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Sanna Marin-former Prime Minister of Finland, now a "strategic adviser" to the Tony Blair Institute. Kaya Kallas-former Prime Minister of Estonia, now Vice-President of the European Commission.

The less you know about something dangerous, the more freedom you have to fantasize about it. I'm afraid that the "cool women leaders of Europe who want to fight Vladimir Putin" don't know much about the reality of war.

Since the "hard women of Europe" have obviously learned nothing from their own recent history, perhaps they could have learned from William Sherman's warning to Southerners in 1860, when he was a student at the Louisiana Seminary. In a conversation with David Boyd**, one of his professors, about the Department of South Carolina, Sherman reportedly said the following about the upcoming war.

«This country will be drenched in blood."
How it will end, God only knows." Perhaps the liberties of the whole country, every district and every person will be destroyed.... Oh, this is all nonsense, madness, a crime against civilization.... You people talk so lightly about war. You don't know what you're talking about. War is a terrible thing. I know you are a brave, fighting people, but for every day of actual combat, there are months of suffering." More people die of disease in war than die in battle. At best, war is a terrible loss of life and property, and at worst, demoralization of the people"
