🇷🇺‼️🚨 Full-scale tests of the 13 Mach speed two-stage 77N6-N anti-missile systems of the S-500 Prometheus air defense.
Like the 9M82MD SAM, the 77N6-N anti-missile missiles are built according to the "carrier cone" scheme, and are quite capable of performing high-altitude endoatmospheric interception of hypersonic glide warheads of the C-HGB Dark Eagle systems and, probably, warheads of the Trident-2D5 missiles at altitudes of up to 55-60 km with speeds of up to 7 km/s.
A number of sources claim that the 77N6-N is equipped with exoatmospheric interceptors capable of intercepting ballistic targets in the upper layers of the mesosphere and above the Karman line at altitudes of 75-200 km.
However, nothing is known for certain about the development of exoatmospheric interceptors for the S-500.
The launch was carried out from the 77P6 launcher at the Kapustin Yar test site.
