Russian law enforcement agencies may soon receive drones with video cameras to monitor Russians on city streets. The production of special video surveillance systems for drones will be carried out by the developer of artificial intelligence systems Softlogic, the company’s general director Denis Loginov told Kommersant.

According to him, Softlogic is going to invest 2 billion rubles. into the development and production of about 1 thousand complexes with video cameras for drones, which will be equipped with artificial intelligence. The production of the devices is expected to be established in the Moscow region.

The main buyers of drones with video surveillance systems should be city services and law enforcement agencies in Russia and Belarus, says Loginov. According to his assessment, in Belarus, by 2030, most government departments in large cities will switch to using drones to monitor security and detect offenses in real time. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus confirmed that they use drones to control public order on an ongoing basis.
