What makes Morocco a Special Country

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

I am a young man born and raised in Europe but raised by Moroccan parents, culture and traditions.I would like to briefly list what makes Morocco a unique and special country and show that even some of us zmagria (Moroccan Diaspora) know and love our home country:

◾ In Morocco there is poverty but fortunately a key element that unfortunately exists in many countries of the first world is absent: depression and stress.Morocco is almost absent of these elements and there are many reasons for this: no social oppression, little discrimination of society, little ambition in the work environment (which avoids overthinking and living in a healthier way without getting into work stress), few hard plans and pre-established programs (in Moroccan culture things are solved slowly, there is no need to rush).

◾ This one is obvious but the food in Morocco is something great and unfortunately still underrated in Western culture. I think Moroccan cuisine is the best in the world after Italian.

◾ Each city is unique and peculiar. Moving from city to city is like changing countries in Morocco. Each city has something different that sets it apart from the others. You go from the melancholy and bittersweet atmosphere of Chefchaouen (my favorite city in Morocco) to the extravagant and exuberant Marrakech to the exotic and crowded Casablanca just to name a few. Not to mention the perfect contrast that exists in the snowy and cold city like Ifrane and the hot and arid desert of Merzouga or Zag until you get to the mountain cities located near jibāl al-ʾaṭlas like Fez or Beni Mellal. even the culture and society of each city or region changes depending on where you live and this is not a common thing. I once described Morocco to a friend of mine and he told me that Morocco seems more like a continent than a country by how vast and detailed it seems. Each city even has its own color. Red for Marrakech, blue for Chefchaouen, white for Casablanca and the golden dunes of the Sahara desert. It is no coincidence that Morocco has been called the country of colors.

In a nutshell, Morocco is a cult full of different traditions, habits and styles that makes the country anything but monotonous for both the country's sons and visitors.

◾ In morocco there is still a large society that helps each other and is not indifferent to the situation of other people. After living in many countries in Europe I can say that contact with other people is being lost in the industrialized first world countries. Here, people hardly say hello to each other, while in Morocco there is still a strong contact with other people and if there is someone in trouble in the neighborhood, everyone does what they can to help him with what they can because many people are still poor in Morocco, but I have noticed that people from the third world have little but are happy, unlike people from rich countries...

For example, in Morocco you can meet a random person in the street and talk to him or her for a while and establish friendly contact, while here in Europe this is almost impossible. Here, in order to establish contact with people, there must be an excuse such as being classmates, workmates, etc...

◾ We Moroccans love our family. In Morocco there is still a powerful family tradition. Parents are the most important thing in the world to us and we do everything to make them proud even if we often have to sacrifice many things to make them happy.Especially our mother. For us, mother is the one thing we care about most. If she is happy then so are we, if she is sad then so are we and if she doesn't want us to do something then most likely we won't do it again even though we love that thing.

If our mother says white is black then black it is.

Of course there are many more such as the great ancient history and ethnic groups that populate Morocco as Arabs, Amazigh (Berbers) and Saharaw and the different languages etc. ... but
