What makes Duple awesome?

**-It’s private:** Your files are not stored on someone else’s data center, but on your storage.

**-You own your data:** Nobody can access your files except you and the people you choose.

**-It’s simple:** Anyone can use it. Just download the app on your devices, plug any USB to your router, and you're good to go! No complicated installation. Plug and play.

**-It’s flexible:** Since you use your own storage, that means you have full control over the size of your cloud. From 1Gb to 10TB (or more), you decide.

**-It’s safe:** Files are End-to-End Encrypted: it’s ultra secure. (Not yet implemented in beta)

As of now the beta is only available in "Advanced mode configuration". We are working on the automatic configuration mode (plug and play) and will release it soon. With the “Advanced Mode Configuration”, whether it’s a NAS, Raspberry Pi, Amazon S3, or your own custom configuration: you can choose whichever storage you want for your private cloud.Since the technology can convert any file storage into a full private cloud, without needing a server, there’s no limit.

Duple was born out of personal need: it was because the likes of Dropbox offered no privacy, and because existing private solutions were a nightmare to install/set up and/or expensive, that we started to develop it, originally for ourselves. Something that works out of the box.

A week ago I finished my first serious programming project. Subtotal - expenses tracking and budgeting app. It is completely free. I want some real user feedback, so feel free to roast my app.

Hi, my name is Vlad. I've been learning iOS programming for a year already and today I want to present my first big project - Subtotal. It helps you to track your expenses and stick to your budget.

**Why I might need this app?**

The main goal is to track where your money goes.

**What makes it different from other such apps?**

I tried to create something I would enjoy using myself. A lot of expense tracking apps have some weirdly looking UI and UX, which I personally don't really like. So I tried my best to provide something that feels and looks easy to use.

First of all, on the main screen there are 2 bars to help you navigate as easily as possible. **The bottom date ba**r lets you switch date periods and **the top wallet bar** lets you switch wallets. So everything important is just 1 tap away.

**Reports tab** gives you a quick visual look on your current balance and how it changed over time

**Budgets tab** lets you set budgets and help you stick to your goals.

**Customization?**

I think we all like a bit of customization, be it the homescreen or the app we use every day. I implemented something I call **"Accent color".** Setting accent color in the settings switches the color of buttons and navigation items, and it also affects the way line charts look.

**Future features and plans**

There are maaaany things I would like to add. First of all, I want to enlarge the customization aspect with custom accent colors, custom icon colors, custom category icons, different app icons, you name it.CSV import and export would be nice too, as well as cloud sync and proper iPad version. I am working hard on bringing new features, but as always it takes a lot of time
