Question about water storage
I’m getting started on water storage and bought a 7 gallon aquatainer to get started. I’m going to clean it with drinking water and dish soap to get rid of any residue first.
Would you recommend filling my container with drinking water or tap water? I saw for people who used tap water on YouTube they also bought a water treatment liquid that preserves the water for 5 years. I was planning to rotate mine once a year if I used drinking water. Would I still need to treat my drinking water? How do you guys have yours set up?
Also I’m curious about getting water from the local park.. we have a filtered water thing installed in our park where you can place a bottle down, press a button, and it’ll fill from the top. However I’m not sure how used the filters are and how often they replace the filters. Anyone get water from the park?
Edit: I use a built in filter in my fridge for drinking.
