Mockery actually some kind of weird comfortsona for me. She's just like that ugly old plushie you have since you were a child. Something with it's seams broking, with it's plush fur no longer so soft and cuddly, something distant and no longer the same.

Mockery was my first creation, actually. More then a decade ago I've entered the world of online art only to make and awkward cringey dragon sona, named Lyustra. I hardly recall a decision behind her name, only thing I remember is her first design: simple colored feral dragon with brown fur, straw-yellow mane and golden eyes. She was my fursona for some time. A main hero of my dropped project. A representation of my first love and a character to draw together with ex-girlfriend's (sorta, not to mention it was a LDR), a first character I drew NSFW with and so on... and after all I gave her some rest, trying to forget all past connected to her. Tried to make a decent lore. Trying to make wentsona out of her.

And now I'm just embracing her as she is. I gave her a new name. Nature's Mockery is a huge reference on analog horror series "Gemini Home Entertainment", such as her established lore. She's no longer a "fruit of fantasies", but a strange adaptive thing from a cosmos. And she's not a pointless shapeshifter, but "trying to fit into a new world, yet being some kind of uncanny entity".

But felt an urge to clear things a bit

i really should stop dropping weird sketches of mockery being a toxic blob of paints and gasoline, but it's so comforting to just make meaningless things about her.

Giving Mockery most toxic colors & textures because they sure would kin Michael from TMA 🌀

I've came-out a couple of times, and my family is still in denial.

My mom keeps chanting "you're just bisexual, it's just a phase, it can't be true"
My dad accepted only that I'm "his boygirl", but jokes about "fags"
My cousin finds his friend's idea of "target-shooting" gay parades amusing and funny.
At least my friends see me as who I am, but sometimes find me too quirky.

It took me ten years to fully embrace my gender and sexuality.
And no person deserves to be treated like a freak for harmless self-expression.

It's a bittersweet theme, but at least, I'm happy with myself.
And others... Probably, one day they will understand. Or at least close their eyes on this.
