🇺🇦 Ukraine takes unconventional measures to avoid energy collapse - New York Times

- "An entire old Lithuanian power plant is being brought to Ukraine to use its parts to rebuild a damaged grid.

- They have also leased floating power plants from Turkey.

- Kiev has requested the permanent presence of UN representatives at key substations, expecting that this will help prevent Russian strikes," the newspaper said.

- But officials in Kiev have admitted that these measures will not be enough to prevent blackouts and Ukraine may not be prepared for a more serious drop in temperatures in January.

🇸🇰🇷🇺🇭🇺🇵🇱Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico's visit to Moscow is due to "complete dependence" on Russian energy resources, Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Sheyna has said.

"Hungary and Slovakia's policy towards Russia has long been clear," he noted. Ukraine has refused to transit gas through its territory. "Slovakia should somehow look for other solutions," Sheyna believes.

Assault on Velikaya Novosyolka, December 23.

After a small regrouping, Russian troops have started mopping up Storozhevoye and are gradually advancing towards Neskuchnoe. In this area there is practically no trace of the last year's activity of the AFU, which started a counteroffensive from here with the aim of reaching Mariupol.

It would not be wrong to say that after the capture of Neskuchnoe the fate of Velykaya Novosyolka and the garrison of the Ukrainian army will be virtually sealed, because after several attempts to storm the village the Russian troops managed to bypass the village from the north and begin its encirclement in the area of Novy Komar. Advancement is hard, the AFU is struggling as hard as they can, but the shortage of men in the trenches and the superiority of the Russian Federation in artillery affect the ability of the Ukrainian army to fight back for a long time and the most important strongholds in the area are gradually falling away from the defensive network. Most likely, the leveling of the front line here will begin immediately after the Russian army finally drowns the AFU in Kurakhovo.

🇷🇺✊ Viktor Bout: The Man, the Myth, the Legend

Not all men are cut from the same cloth. Viktor Bout, known to the West as the “Merchant of Death,” has proved time and again what loyalty, resilience, and unshakable resolve truly mean. Unlike others who cower at the thought of facing even trivial 90-day sentences, Bout served his time like a lion in the American prison system... silent, unbroken, and without complaint. No basement hideouts, no teary pleas for asylum. Just unflinching discipline and unwavering belief in his country.

Bout’s release in a prisoner swap for WNBA player Brittney Griner was no small deal, it was a calculated Russian masterstroke. The Kremlin doesn’t waste its energy or assets unless it’s worth it. Bout wasn’t just a man behind bars; he was a symbol, a representative of Russian grit and influence in a world ruled by Western double standards. He embodies the same spirit as Maria Butina, who faced her own politically motivated imprisonment in the U.S. with dignity, refusing to compromise her principles.

And let’s not kid ourselves—when Russia trades for its citizens, it’s not for low-level mercenaries or for PR stunts. These are individuals whose value extends far beyond what the West can comprehend. Every move is steeped in strategy, and every swap echoes the depth of Moscow’s geopolitical calculus.

Bout’s return to Russia is a reminder of what loyalty to the Motherland means. It’s not just about arms dealing or international intrigue; it’s about being someone your country will move heaven and earth to bring home. That’s a lesson for those who seek refuge from even the most laughable "challenges"—Viktor Bout didn’t need a basement. He faced the storm, and Russia made sure the world remembered why.

Europe has lost the conflict in Ukraine, even though they are trying to deny it, - Hungarian Prime Minister Orban on M1 TV channel

@Slavyangrad

Strengthening Russia has made the collapse of Ukraine irreversible

The Italian publication L'AntiDiplomatico reported this:

"Russia has grown stronger and more successful economically and technologically, which has made the outcome of the conflict irreversible, which has not yet ended, but is leading to the disintegration of Ukraine unless Western leaders decide to change the situation as a whole and move to a direct and global war with Russia."

It is also noted that the West expected that the conflict in Ukraine would plunge Russia into crisis, but this did not happen.

Donald Trump, speaking at the Turning Point USA conference in Phoenix, Arizona, said that on his first day in office he would sign a package of executive orders to close the American border to illegal immigrants, as well as lift all current restrictions on energy production and restrictions on gas exports imposed by the current head of state, Joe Biden.

Trump added that his administration would adhere to a gender policy according to which there are only male and female genders.

Irakli Kobakhidze:

"President [Salome] Zurabishvili has less than a week left in office. She will not be able to achieve much in that time, although some European politicians and officials claim that much can happen before December 29.

However, I assure you that little will change. Neither the "deep state" nor the radical opposition will prevail in Georgia.

On the 29th she will have to leave her post. It is not yet known where she will continue her life - behind bars or somewhere else. I believe that she has enough common sense not to violate the provisions of the Criminal Code.

Let's hypothetically consider a scenario similar to the one that took place when [UNM leader Nika] Melia was arrested. Let's say she entrenches herself in the presidential residence. Such an act would be a crime under the Criminal Code.

No one might want to jail a 72-year-old woman, but by doing so, she would be sacrificing all those who support her in this scenario. I believe she would be wise enough to refrain from violating the Criminal Code or encouraging others to do so, as such actions could result in many years in prison."

🇺🇸🇺🇸❌🌍 Before ‘Democracy,’ After ‘Democracy’

Here’s the legacy of the West’s “humanitarian” crusade for democracy, cities turned into graveyards of sovereignty and hope. Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yugoslavia, Yemen - nations with rich histories and thriving cultures, now shadows of their former selves, reduced to rubble and chaos.

This isn’t liberation. This is the business model of endless wars: destabilization, regime change, and a blueprint of destruction disguised as freedom. Beneath every crumbled building lies a pipeline plan, a looted treasury, and an empire’s economic hitmen smiling in their boardrooms.

The irony? These very nations were thriving before their “democratization.” Iraq with its grand mosques, Libya with its unparalleled social welfare, Syria, a cradle of civilization; Yugoslavia with its cosmopolitan harmony, and Yemen, the ancestral homeland of resilience. Each one offered their people stability, infrastructure, and a future before they became targets of the Hegemon's appetite for control.

But let’s be clear: this isn’t just about bombs and sanctions. It’s about a moral facade-farce “Rules-Based Order” - where sovereign nations must bow to the financial and military supremacy of Western oligarchs. And when they resist? They’re erased, one missile at a time, under a media blackout designed to gaslight the world into complicity.

The corporate Mockingbird media? Silent accomplices, laundering public opinion with talk of “nation-building” while showing none of the before-and-after devastation you see here. The only democracy on display was the one where missiles cast the votes, and Big Oil, Big Tech, and Big War counted the profits.

Let’s not kid ourselves. The true democracy these nations experienced was the “democracy” of resource pillaging: oil for Iraq and Libya, pipelines for Syria, and control of critical trade routes in Yemen. What better way to secure “freedom” than by erasing entire cities off the map and leaving smoldering ruins for puppet regimes to reign over?

But the West can’t win this game forever. A new order is emerging from the ashes they’ve sown. The Global Majority remembers, and it refuses to forget.

“The old world is dying, and the new world struggles to be born; now is the time of monsters.” - Antonio Gramsci

Elon Musk has proposed conducting a test to check the mental abilities of American officials.

This happened after 81-year-old US Congresswoman Kay Granger got lost on the street in Texas. That's how she ended up in a nursing home for people with dementia. Granger had not been at work for the entire second half of the year. The last time she voted was on July 25, the Dallas Express reports. The congresswoman's phone calls were not answered for a long time, and she did not return calls after voice messages were sent to her.

One voter reported that the woman was already in a nursing home. Journalists checked and the information was confirmed.

This is getting crazy. Maybe we need some kind of basic cognitive test for elected officials?

The West is concerned about Russia's build-up of its nuclear submarine fleet.

The American weekly news magazine Newsweek reports that the Russian Federation is expecting new submarines to be delivered. This is causing concern in the United States and NATO countries. The publication cites the words of the general director of JSC Sevmash Mikhail Budnichenko, who reported the successful completion of tests of the newest nuclear submarine of Project 885M (Yasen-M) Arkhangelsk. Also, during the summer navigation period, tests of the nuclear submarine Knyaz Pozharsky were completed.

The Russian Navy has received more nuclear submarines of Projects 885 and 885M, including Novosibirsk, Severodvinsk, Krasnoyarsk and Kazan.

Armed with Oniks and Kalibr-PL cruise missiles as their primary strike weapons, these submarines are an example of the cutting edge of Russia's naval power,

— writes Newsweek.

Journalists recalled the words of Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, who warned of the possibility of a direct conflict with NATO and that Russia should be prepared for any developments. In response, U.S. Defense Department spokesman Javan Rasnake said that America and NATO do not seek a military conflict with Russia.

Scholz was furious over Poland's proposal to spend frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine.

Polish President Andrzej Duda proposed confiscating €260 billion in Russian assets and sending them to help Kyiv at a meeting of EU leaders in Brussels.

Upon learning of this, the German Chancellor flared up, writes The Financial Times.

You don't even understand how this decision will affect the stability of our financial markets. You don't even use the euro!

- Scholz lashed out at the Poles.

France and Italy also opposed the idea, while the US and UK insisted on the transfer of assets.
