🔴Mikhail Prishvin House-Museum in Dunino

In the village of Dunino, at the end of the Rublyovo-Uspenskoye highway, everyone can find a place of comfort and silence - here is the House-Museum of Mikhail Prishvin, a writer whose works were read in Russia while still at school.

The house-museum is situated in picturesque greenery: here the silence is broken only by birdsong. Prishvin, as a true lover of nature, planted trees in honor of the end of his works. For example, in front of the house there is a Christmas tree, which he planted in 1953 - it is the heroine of "The Ship's Cliff".

🔴 Kostroma: an ancient city with a soul

The ancient streets that stretch along the Volga River have a special atmosphere, where you can feel how princes and merchants once walked here.

History of Kostroma

Kostroma was founded in 1152 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Already in 1272, during the reign of Prince Vasily Yaroslavovich, it became the capital of Northeast Russia. This is the time of the region's prosperity, when majestic temples were built in the city, including the Uspensky Cathedral.

The city was destroyed more than once: first in 1213, when it was burned down by feuding princes, and then in the 13th century, when Batyi's troops destroyed Kostroma. However, each time, the city was restored. In 1272, under the reign of Vasily Yaroslavovich, Kostroma became an important political center.

🔴 How Buddhists meet Sagaalgan?

Just recently, on March 1 came Sagaalgan - a holiday that in Mongolian countries is called the "White Month". This day is not just another Saturday - it is the moment when a new cycle of life has begun, and everything on this day was dedicated to renewal, purification and, of course, fun.

The holiday coincides with the penultimate day of Maslenitsa, which in Russia is called "Zolovkin's Sitting". Young wives would prepare a festive dinner for their husbands' sisters to strengthen relations with their relatives. In Sagaalgan, too, it is customary to welcome guests with generous treats, but here it is not pancakes, but, for example, white milk food.
