That’s all. Since I’m not exactly great at giving long explanations on why I chose that movie for you, I’ll just drop the synopsis of the film here, in case any of you might feel like checking it out. Thank you for playing with me, pals! Been a fun one.

@frontische – The Cranes Are Flying (1957)

I think the vibe suits you because you carry this quiet sense of longing and depth. Something meaningful that’s always there, just a little out of reach.

Veronika and Boris come together in Moscow shortly before World War II. Walking along the river, they watch cranes fly overhead, and promise to rendezvous before Boris leaves to fight. Boris misses the meeting and is off to the front lines, while Veronika waits patiently, sending letters faithfully. After her house is bombed, Veronika moves in with Boris' family, into the company of a cousin with his own intentions.

@Coreflamen — Grave of the Fireflies (1988)

Since I couldn’t really see much from your account, I ended up going through the gift notes your friends left you. It got me thinking of films that are best watched alone, the kind that will hit you enough to make you have a good cry.

In the final months of World War II, 14-year-old Seita and his younger sister Setsuko are orphaned after their mother is killed in an air raid in Kobe, Japan. Following a falling out with their aunt, they leave her home and take refuge in an abandoned bomb shelter. With no surviving relatives to rely on and their emergency rations quickly running out, the two siblings are left to struggle for survival on their own.

@LiShegn — Minari (2020)

I take you as someone who values your family a lot.

A Korean American family moves to a farm in Arkansas, chasing their version of the American dream. As they navigate the unfamiliar and rugged life in the Ozarks, they come to discover the quiet strength of family, and what it truly means to call a place home.

@violetwilt – Anora (2024)

Honestly, it’s just the vibe you give off. The main character kinda carries your energy somehow, not in a bad way. More like… that badass, a little bratty kind of way. I’m definitely emphasising the bratty part.

This movie is about a young sex worker from Brooklyn gets her chance at a Cinderella story when she meets and impulsively marries the son of an oligarch. Once the news reaches Russia, her fairytale is threatened as his parents set out to get the marriage annulled.

@Maalinin – The Social Network (2010)

Based on your account, your vibe is as someone who hustles hard.

Now, this movie. In 2003, Harvard undergrad and computer programmer Mark Zuckerberg begins work on a new concept that eventually turns into the global social network known as Facebook. Six years later, Mark is one of the youngest billionaires ever, but his unprecedented success leads to both personal and legal complications when he ends up on the receiving end of two lawsuits, one involving his former friend.

@ryioreaper – The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012)

I chose this movie mainly because it’s about self-discovery, and I believe that in each phase of our lives, we will question our identity at some point. And I know you, kiddo. I don’t know if you’ve watched this movie yet or not, but you should give it a go.

This one’s probably almost everyone’s best coming-of-age movie. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 1991. High school freshman Charlie is a wallflower, always watching life from the sidelines, until two senior students, Sam and her stepbrother Patrick, become his mentors, helping him discover the joys of friendship, music, and love.

@secretarny – Frances Ha (2012)

Just because of this one line from your channel, “She is the heartbeat of the bustling streets, always chasing dreams under the bright neon lights of Broadway.”

She’s not messy, she’s just busy. An aspiring dancer heads to New York City and gets swept up in a whirlwind of fleeting friendships, fading fortunes, and a career that doesn’t quite go as planned.

@uunwed – Open Your Eyes (1997)

I think this film feels like it belongs in that “extreme narcissism and extreme self-hate” category you’ve got on your profile picture.

A great classic of modern Spanish cinema, that blew my mind. Basically, it tells a story of a handsome 25-year-old Cesar had it all, a successful career, expensive cars, a swank bachelor's pad, and an endless string of beautiful and willing women, until he is thrown into a strange psychological mystery after a car accident scars his face and lands him in prison.

@fBIeeding – Martyrs (2008)

Based on your account, I think your vibe might suit this movie because it can get pretty disturbing and gory. (The left picture isn’t from the actual movie, for safety purposes.)

It’s about a young woman’s quest for revenge against the people who kidnapped and tortured her as a child leads her and her best friend, also a victim of child abuse, on a terrifying journey into a living hell of depravity.
