When we step forward to raise the torch over our brothers grave can we say:

This was a man

as we agreed it to be
This is a stone and a monument that will remain as a testament

Could we say of him -
‘Here is a man who was what we sought to be’
more than just a man
But a legend
Who understood that the only thing in life which remains when all else has gone

Is the words which he spoke
Is the honor he gave
Is the faith he kept with those bound to him wherever he found himself in the nine worlds

Who was
