Good news from Thailand! The country's lower house of parliament has approved a bill to legalize marriage equality.

If the law passes, Thailand will be the first country in Southeast Asia to achieve marriage equality. source

Arguing people deserve to abort disabled children, or people should not abort because of disability are both unhelpful arguments when discussing abortion.

No one should be forced to give birth ever. Combating ableism will prevent abortion not limiting abortion access.

The false nation state of Israel is out of control.
It’s leaders are war criminals.

1.6 million innocent and already suffering civilians are trapped in Rafah, with over 600,000 of them being children.

Israel must be stopped.
The international community must do everything in its power to put an end to this genocide.

170 days
30,000+ murdered
Millions upon millions displaced

Enough is enough. source

Yes! This is how you model the practice of disability justice!

We’re excited to be partnering with the Niagara Transgender Action Coalition to be providing masks for this year’s Trans Day of Visibility event. This is important to us as disability justice is intersectional. We make visible the chronically ill and immunocompromised trans folks who otherwise aren’t included when masks aren’t required. We look forward to seeing y’all there! source

Wow.

Image has a picture of Noa Nessim, MD next to the following quote: "I am so excited to provide care in a fat-neutral, trans- affirming, disability justice- oriented way, and to trust people as the experts on their own lives and bodies. I have been navigating the deeply harmful waters of the US healthcare system alongside everyone else, and while an understanding doctor can't solve the problem of systemic violence, I am eager to do what I can within the walls of my clinic rooms."

We're excited to introduce you to our featured physician of the month, Noa Nessim, MD. Dr. Nessim graduated from UNC School of Medicine and currently serves a primary care panel at our newest clinic, The UNC Family Medicine Center at South Durham (Fayetteville Rd). Dr. Nessim is passionate about providing a safe, affirming space for all people, with expertise in care for LGBTQ+ communities, HIV medicine and substance abuse treatment, disability justice, and more. source
