As the first and second industries of entertainment, both movies and video games, the content of which might be aggressive, have become famous amongst individuals. Therefore, some are of opinion that they have adverse effects on society, so they should be prohibited. On the contrary, there are some who hold this view that not only are they safe, but also helpful for users to stay relaxed. In this essay, I try to unpack both opinions and share my own comments, as well as draw a conclusion for this dichotomy.

According to some proponents, action movies and games cause gamers to behave both destructively and detrimentally. They assume that the themes of them allow children and teenagers to pick up a bad behavior and act up, which is degenerative and even truculent. As an example, Rockstar studio is a pioneer in the industry of games and each period of time it releases a game in which bad language, violation of law, and nudity are vastly used such as GTA, Grand Theft Auto. When gamers drown themselves playing such a game, they assimilate themselves in the rules of the game in a way that they see no restrictions in taking law into their hands and use their own judgment to proceed and conduct many illegal activities. Furthermore, possibly they are highly likely to even do a felony knowing that there is no punishment for the infringement of law. As a result, they may perform the exact perception in the real life resulting in mayhem and uncontrollable events.

Despite this, the advocates of these growing industries hold an opposite stance. They believe that computer games and cinema, whether violent or drama, all can provide a time users feel relaxed and stay away from their hectic life. A recent body of research, conducted by Colorado University in 2009, announced that films and games heavily contribute to the growth of dopamine level, feel-good hormones, in individuals body if played regularly, as an example. Hence, they both feel contended and entertained simultaneously.

Nevertheless, I, as a huge fan of both aforementioned industries, would like to impart my experience that these activities could be both enjoyable provided that other social activities such as shopping, eating out, doing exercises, and meeting friends take place. Not only this, the balance one creates between them consolidates and leads users to be a socialized person who are obedient and totally aware of the difference between real and virtual worlds.

To wrap up, as a dichotomy, from some proponents' point of view, movies and computer games trigger serious repercussions for a community, some prop these industries up and say they are only used to ameliorate individuals in their pass time. However, I opine that they are not deleterious as long as other activities are set in motion.


Films and computer games which contain violence are very popular. Some people believe they have a negative effect on society and so should be banned. Other people, however, say they are just harmless and help people to relax.

Discuss both these points of view and give your own opinion.

🔵پرهیز از کلی گویی

 در Writing Task 2  آیلتس  تا آنجا که شده باید از کلی گویی پرهیز کنیم و دایره تعاریف مان را تنگ تر کنیم.

مثال :

 🔵در زبان فارسی ما از کلی گویی بسیار استفاده می کنیم .مثلا به دستمان که جدیداً باعث ناراحتی ما شده میگوییم " من اصلا از رفتار تو خوشم نمی آید". میدانید رفتار مجموعه ای زیاد از حرکاتی است که در مجموع شخصیت یک فرد رو تعیین میکنه .دقیقا منظور شما کدام رفتار دوستتان هست؟ می توانستید این تعریف رو محدود تر کنیم .مثلا بگویید رفتار دیشب تو سر سفره شام زمانی که قصد بلند شدن از روی صندلی را داشتی و با کشیدن پایه صندلی باعث ایجاد صدای گوش خراش شدی و این باعث آزرده خاطر شدن من شد. می بینید دوستان چقدر روشن و شفاف طرح مشکل کردم و از کلی گویی پرهیز کردیم! یا مثلا با یکی از دوستان صحبت می کردیم دوستم گفت" دولت باید از جوان ها حمایت کنه "چه بهتر بود که می گفت" دولت باید از جوان ها حمایت مالی کنه مثلا با دادن وام های کم بهره اون ها رو در راه اندازی کسب و کار حمایت مالی کنه " پس شفاف و دقیق طرح موضوع کنید.

۶-شروع هر پاراگراف باید با جمله موضوع باشد یا همان Topic Sentence

 🔵شروع هر پاراگراف باید با Topic sentence  شروع شود، جمله ای که خیلی کلی به ما می گوید که در هر پاراگراف میخواهیم راجع به چه موضوعی بحث کنیم با نگاه به این جمله می توانیم تصمیم بگیریم که به خوندن اون پاراگراف ادامه بدیم یا نه. اگر برای اینکه بفهمیم یک پاراگراف راجع به چه چیزی داره بحث میکنه مجبور شیم کل پاراگراف رو بخونیم و هنوز نفهمیدیم اون پاراگراف راجع به چه چیزی داره صحبت می کنه باید بگم که نویسنده  دانش حرفه ای نویسندگی نداره و بهش پیشنهاد بدین که دور آیلتس رو خط بکشه.

۷-حتما در هر پاراگراف مثال بیاورید.

  🔵سیستم نگارش سیستماتیک آوردن مثال برای توضیح بیشتر ایده های ما امری اجتناب ناپذیر هست. هر چقدر مثال های ما ساده تر و حقیقی تر و قابل لمس تر باشه بهتره .می تونید دقیقا از اتفاق هایی که در زندگی ما و اطرافیان ما افتاده استفاده کنید. بعضی از دوستان فکر میکنند در مثال های ما باید دقیقا آمارهای دقیق آورده بشه دوستان آزمون آیلتس تست آمار نیست، آزمون صحیح نوشتن میباشد برای ایجاد رابطه صحیح در کشورهای انگلیسی زبان.

۸-بحث را به نتیجه برسانید.

 🔵فرض کنید موضوع Writing Task 2 ما این باشد که آیا باید افراد مسن بازنشسته شوند و جای خود را به جوان تر ها بدهند؟

 🔵ما در این Writing مزایای به کارگیری مسن تر ها را بحث می کنیم و در چند پاراگراف بعد راجع به اینکه به کارگیری جوان تر ها چه مزیتی دارد و تمام!!!خوب ما بعد از نوشتن ۵ پاراگراف هنوز متوجه نشدیم که آیا باید افراد مسن بازنشسته شوند یا نه!!! پس حتما در پاراگراف Conclusion که پاراگراف آخر هست بحث را به نتیجه برسانید.

۹- از تکرار مکررات بپرهیزید !

 🔵این قسمت شامل دو قسمت میشود .مثال همین جمله اخیر بنده بهتر نبود میگفتم این قسمت شامل دو بخش میشود. یعنی بعضی اوقات ما عادت داریم که یک کلمه را چندین بار پشت سرهم تکرار کنیم این کار حرفه ای نیست .و قسمت دوم این بخش شامل بعضی از ما میشه که فکر میکنیم کسی که خواننده ما هست یک فرد سه ساله هست و آنچنان خودمون رو تکرار می کنیم که واقعاً باعث ایجاد خستگی در خواننده میشه.

Many governments think economic progress is their most important goal. Some people, however, think that other types of progress are equally important for a country.

Answer:
There are different views about what should be the utmost priority of government to paves the way of development. While it is argued that financial advancement is crucial to consider; nonetheless, insignificant number of people contend this notion and think that other aspects are equally imperative in the essence of significance. Both arguments will be discussed following a rational conclusion including my opinion.

Generally, it is paramount to set economic development as a principle for progression of a country. This is because it will enhance job prospects and thus a country will curb poverty. As government will invest more money to domestic industry like agriculture and garments factory, not only will it encourage local entrepreneurs but also international or multinational companies to spend in that country’s economy, which in turn will create more avenues of work for its inhabitants that ultimately boost the succesful buildup of other sectors by spending the additional revenues. Thus,it is evident why government ought to focus on economy.

Having said that, it is also incumbent for a nation to contemplate in other progress indicators is thought by some people. Since all aspects are inextricably linked to each other, it is pressing matter for a state to target it’s infrastructure like education, communication and security if they intend to provide a world class quality of living, which defines country’s extension of development. If a country ensures better education and accessible communication , it will yield more skilled workforce who might get more time to assist in building an comprehensive economy instead of being stagnant in traffic congestion.

To conclude, although it seems momentous to focus on solely economic enforcement ,which is integral part of nation’s finance, I believe that other aspects like standard education and improved communication system will amplify development in total because one sector is not mutually exclusive of others.

If the number of people is “insignificant” what is the point of examining their viewpoint? TA – it’s very good writing . BUT – where are the “relevant examples” & how do you reach your conclusion? Your opinion comes as a sudden surprise to the reader// CC – excellent cohesion. Perhaps carrier nouns would help. Do you think a couple of your sentences are rather long?// LR – there is plenty of collocation and some less common, but appropriate lexis. But I’m not sure what you mean by “standard education ” & I have no idea why you chose to use “stagnant”// G – 5 (possibly 6) article slips so that has to limit the band. “it is also incumbent for a nation to contemplate in other progress indicators is thought by some people”???

🔹How to ace a reading test

In many ways, the reading test is more of a vocabulary test than a reading test. They will use synonyms and paraphrase sentences to test how wide your vocabulary is. To prepare for this I advise my students to do three things: read, note and review.

As mentioned in tip number 2, reading is the best way to improve your vocabulary. Memorising lists of words is not as effective as seeing words in context. When you see a new word you don’t understand, try to guess the meaning from context. This means that you try to guess the meaning based on the words and sentences around it. You will be expected to do this in the exam so it is a good idea to get practicing now. Only when you have done that should you check the meaning.

Next, you should put all of your new words in a special IELTS vocabulary notebook. Record not only the meaning but also things like synonyms, antonyms, collocations, form, examples, pronunciation and pictures. You don’t have to record all of these things; just the ones that work for you. All our brains work differently so find out what helps you remember vocabulary and use it.

Finally, there is no point in recording all this new vocabulary if you don’t review it. After putting all the effort into looking up the meaning and record everything in a notebook, it would be a waste of time if you don’t look at it regularly again. I advise students to look at new vocabulary one week after first studying, then two weeks later and finally a month later. Test yourself by covering up the meanings or try to think of a sentence.

By following these steps you will soon have a notebook full of words that you will remember and be able to use effectively in all sections of the IELTS test.

1⃣ قانون synonym :

باید توجه داشته باشیم که آزمون آیلتس مثل کنکورهای ارشد و تافل PBT و ... هرگز مستقیما معنی یک کلمه را از شما پرسش نمی کند. بنابراین، باید آگاه باشیم که معمولا مترادف کلمات سوال، در متن وجود دارند که با یافتن آن ها می توانیم به اصل جواب پی ببریم. همواره کلماتی را در متن پیدا کنید که معنای مشابهی با کلمات داخل سوال دارند!

2⃣ زیر اسامی خاص ( شهرها، اسم ها، و ... ) خط بکشید.

اگرچه گاهی می بینیم که شاگردانمان تقریبا زیر اکثر کلمات متن خط کشیده اند! و با این کار، خود را بیشتر سردرگم می کنند. لطفا تنها زیر اسامی خاص خط بکشید تا در صورت مشاهده ی آن ها در سوال، به راحتی بتوانید آن ها را در متن بیابید.

3⃣مستقیما به سراغ سوال اول بروید. همه ی متن و یا همه ی سوالات را نخوانید.

4⃣ اکثر سوالات به ترتیب اند !

قدیم تر ها، به شاگردانمان می گفتیم که "همه " ی سوالات در آزمون ریدینگ به ترتیب اند. گاهی شاگردی ناقلا پیدا می شد که خلاف این را می یافت و از آن به بعد تصمیم گرفتم جای کلمه ی همه را با "اکثر" عوض کنم. بنابراین بدانید که این قانون حتمی و کلی است و شاید گاهی مثل همه ی قانون های دیگر، یک مورد مثال نقض هم یافت شود.

Explain how you felt about it?

There are many occasion when visitors came to our home. But today I would like to talk about an occasion when some guests came from Canada and stayed at our home with us. They were my uncle and aunt who migrated to Canada three years ago. They belong to the same city Moga where we live. They have a very cordial relation with our family. They have two children a boy and a girl.

It was the time when I finished my graduation in 2003 and I was totally free from my studies. It was the month of March and they came here in search of a girl for their son. They had come only for two weeks. They have their own house and we suggested them to stay with us instead of living in their house because it was closed for a long time and it required cleanliness.

We reserve a room for them which have all the facilities like a double bed, sofa set, LCD TV, landline phone so that they had no problem and felt comfortable there. There was an attached washroom with that room for their facility. Moreover, my mother prepared different types of desserts every day for them. Because my mother already knows their likes and dislikes. We also took them to different places to watch for their recreation because of they fond of visiting places of interest.

We did all things for their comfort. I spent a lot of time with them. They revealed their experiences with me. They told me how did they struggle initially when they had migrated to Canada. They also told that life there is very hard. Jobs are difficult to find but the government of Canada provide all the facilities to the permanent residents. After two weeks they had gone back to Canada.
