Had to sell out, new BTC balance 0.00

Feels bad man. My goal was to get to .1 BTC, almost had it at .095 BTC but life sometimes hands you lemons sometimes and you gotta do what you gotta do.

Started my own business recently and been working my ass off but bills and paying down debt comes at you fast. I at least used it to pay off a credit card so even though my BTC balance is at 0, so is my AMEX.

Anyway, just venting but I hope to be back at it. Just going to bust ass and get things going even harder now. Sad to see, but also a huge motivator in a way. Love this subreddit and all the shitposting, the comments honestly make my day in most situations at least.

The day of the halving is going to be far less exciting than this sub is expecting it to be

I think far too many people are expecting The Halving to trigger a god candle and expect it to shoot up 10-20% or even 30%.

I feel like it’s going to drop 1-5%, and everyone in this sub is going to lose their minds.

The effects of the halving will become apparent - they absolutely will. But it could take weeks or honestly months.

I’m just saying this now because we are going to be flooded with hundreds of posts all saying “WhY BiTCoIN go DoWN ToDaY”.

Just be patient and keep stacking no matter what happens that day.

Got my first Bitcoin, what can I do aside from hodling it?

Just got won some Bitcoin for the first time and gotta say, pretty stoked about stepping into this whole crypto scene! But now I'm wondering, what's next? Besides just holding onto it and watching the charts like a hawk, what else can you actually do with Bitcoin? I’ve heard bits and pieces about using it to buy stuff or even trading it, but I’m curious about what you folks do with your BTC. Any cool uses or tips for a newbie? Maybe some lesser-known uses that aren’t just the usual? Would love to hear how you all are utilizing your Bitcoin in everyday life or in unique ways. Thanks in advance for the insight!

I sold - I'm out for now

Since 2014 I have been DCA'ing $100-$500 monthly into just BTC. Never caring about the price. The same day, every month, for the past 10 years.

Earlier this week I sold it all.

When I started accumulating BTC, I was a different person. My wife and I had only been dating for about 6 months then. I was still in college, living in an apartment with 3 other roommates, working a decent job making enough to pay the bills and have a little left over for myself and to put away into BTC.

Next week, my wife and I close on our dream home that we will immediately own over 80% of with enough room for our current two children plus more when we're ready. My kids will be going to the best schools in our city. Because of our massive down payment, our COL will only be roughly 10-20% of our income.

When it's all said and done though I'll be back.

People who were ultra early to Bitcoin - how did they catch on to it?

Imagine it's 2009. You hear about "money without borsers" and how'l it will revolutionise the finance. Imagine looking up the price and it's worth fractions of a penny. Imagine trying to understand how to send Bitcoin from one wallet to another.

There were so many barriers to entry - yet people still latched on.

Two main questions:
1) How did people hear about Bitcoin so early?
2) Why did they stick around?

My Doctor is a Bitcoiner

Have to pay thousands of dollars in medical bill and told my doctor that I need a payment solution because I don’t want to sell my Bitcoins. He told me that he can understand why I don’t want to sell right now and gave me a fair payment plan so I can keep my coins.
