Hi Metages! 🥰♥️
Here are my toefl scores!
I wanted to share a bit about my toefl journey and thank this great telegram channel TOEFL ZONE for the materials and tips. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without it .
I got 109 on my toefl test.
Here are some tips that worked for me, and I hope they can help others too:
Reading:
Focus on understanding the passage, not just answering questions.
Skim-read the paragraph in question first; don’t jump straight to keywords.
Read all answer choices thoroughly to eliminate wrong options.
Listening:
Take as many notes as possible, but don’t lose focus on the audio.
Write down notes even if you don’t fully understand every detail.
Review all answer choices to narrow down the correct one.
Speaking:
Manage your time well, aiming to finish 2-5 seconds early.
Q1: Keep it simple and casual, using detailed examples and conversational language.
Q2: Follow a template; start with the proposal, then explain the student’s opinion.
Q3: Begin smoothly, defining terms like “well, Y is when…” and include the professor’s examples.
Q4: Introduce the topic first, like “the professor discusses Y,” then go into the examples.
Writing:
Q1: Start with a general intro and restate both sides’ opinions. Summarize if time allows, and check for typos.
Q2: Take a clear stance, support it with an example, and, if possible, point out weaknesses in the opposing view.
I’m so thankful to you Metages for being part of my journey, thank you for your amazing and fun online class as well.
Good luck to all of you on your toefl preparation 🥰
