#Android Auto will have #Google Assistant summarize your messages with #AI

Android Auto now has a feature that uses Google Assistant to summarize your messages while driving, especially in busy conversations. These summaries are generated by AI, but Google warns that there could be mistakes. You can enable or disable this feature in Android Auto Settings.

This capability is expected to launch in the future, as it appeared in version 14.52 of the Google app, which is currently in beta.

#Samsung Phone app is now available for #Microsoft's Windows OS

Samsung has launched its official Phone app for Windows PCs to enhance its cross-device ecosystem. The app allows users to access key features of their Galaxy smartphones from their desktops and is available for download from the Microsoft Windows Store.

It is compatible with the newly announced Galaxy Book4, Intel-based PCs, and requires Windows 10 or above.

Russian President Vladimir Putin was struggling for words when confronted by an #AI-generated version of himself during the country’s first year-end question-and-answer session since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. There’s been some speculation that Putin has body doubles to cover for him during public appearances because of alleged health problems, Reuters reports. Students from Stanford have created a neural network that can determine a person's location based on just one photo

They tested it on the game GeoGuessr, where players have to guess locations based on Google Maps images, and trained it to such an extent that it ultimately defeated one of the best players in multiple rounds.

According to the students' idea, this technology could be useful at least for scientists, for example, in searching for locations in archival photos.
