🇮🇷/🇮🇱 While many pro-Iranian outlets are celebrating that Israel's attack has been limited and interpret it as a sign of weakness, the fact that the IAF was able to strike many targets in the heart of Iran without a single airplane being shot down or damaged shows that Israel has absolute air immunity over Iranian airspace. Frankly, it is impressive.

If Israel was limited in its attack, it is not because Iran was able to somehow stop it, it is only because the USA basically forced Israel to limit their attacks in order to limit a future Iranian retaliation.

🇱🇧/🇮🇱 The American envoy Amos Hochstein returns tomorrow to Israel to listen to the opinions of Israeli officials about the Lebanese proposal rejecting any amendment to Resolution 1701.

The Israelis generally talk about 1701 in a modified form, and thus include Resolutions 1559 and 1608 in it.

If the Israeli position continues to be stubborn, which is to include Resolution 1559 in 1701 with a set of Israeli demands related to expanding the role of UNIFIL forces as well as its powers or establishing a buffer zone, then in this case Amos will likely not return to Lebanon and war will escalate even more.
