GST on Medical equipment and essential medicines was cut to a 5% tax rate with input credit effectively bringing the rate to 1-2%.

The rate of the same items during UPA time was 28%.

🟠When GST was launched in 2017 the Revenue Neutral Rate was 15.3%. With continuous downward revisions of GST rates in 400 items the Revenue Neutral Rate came down to 11.6% today translating into a sharp tax cut of 25% in the GST rate. Click (11.6% becomes after recent rate cut)

NASA announced that NISAR, the advanced earth observation satellite developed by India and the US, is set to launch in March 2025. With dual-frequency radar, NISAR will monitor planetary changes with precision, aiding in climate change understanding and disaster response. It will provide high-resolution images and track surface changes, benefiting global natural resource management.

Observations from NISAR will benefit humanity by helping researchers around the world better understand changes in the Earth’s surface, including its ice sheets, glaciers and sea ice. It will also capture changes in its forest and wetland ecosystems as well as movement and deformation of the Earth’s crust such as earthquakes, landslides and volcanic activity, Nasa said.

The Azerbaijan Airlines plane, flying from Baku to Grozny, crashed in Kazakhstan

What is known so far:

◾️There were 62 passengers and 5 crew members on board

◾️6 people survived the crash

◾️The crash was caused by a collision with a flock of birds

◾️52 rescuers and 11 pieces of equipment of the Ministry for Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan arrived at the crash site

◾️A special investigation will be conducted in connection with the crash, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan said.

In a significant statement, Russia's nuclear energy agency, Rosatom, on Tuesday said that the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission's comments were an "attempt to tarnish" the Rooppur nuclear power project.

In a statement, Rosatom reiterated that the USD 2.65 billion Rooppur project is transparent and that it is prepared to defend the case in court.These accusations were made by the interim government led by Mohammad Yunus, which was formed after the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina's government in Bangladesh.
The Rosatom statement comes a day after the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission issued a statement accusing the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her family members

Report: Centre for Advanced Systems (CAS) conducted a workshop on Hypersonics on 23 Dec 2024 on the occasion of completion of 1000 highly complex tests in Hypersonic Wind Tunnel (HWT).

The state-of-the-art Hypersonic Wind Tunnel was inaugurated on 19 Dec 2020 by Hon'ble RM and is a specialized testing facility used to simulate and study the effects of airflow at hypersonic speeds and is used for development and testing of high-speed, maneuverable missiles.

DRDO is working on Many Hypersonic Projects.
