Area near Delhi CM's home flooded as Yamuna level rises

Waterlogging was reported in parts of Delhi as Yamuna level rose further affecting traffic on Thursday morning. The Ring Road in Civil Lines area has been flooded and the stretch connecting Majnu ka Tila with Kashmiri Gate ISBT is closed. This spot is nearly 500 metres from the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi Assembly.

"The G20 summit is going to be held...in a few weeks. The news of flood in the capital won't send a good message to the world," Kejriwal said.

Gangster Kuldeep Jaghina, who was accused Of killing BJP Leader Kripal Singh, has been shot in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur while he was in police custody.

The cops were taking Jaghina to Bharatpur court from jail when the incident took place. The miscreants threw chilli powder at the cops and took advantage of the situation by firing at Jaghina near Amoli Toll Plaza.

Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge on Tuesday criticised the BJP over the death of Jain monk Kamakumara Nandi and said they should learn not to do politics over dead bodies. "They did this previously in Karavali region, they did this in Shivamogga. This is becoming a habit," Kharge said. Bringing GST under PMLA will lead to tax terrorism: Punjab FM

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday opposed the central government's decision to bring GST Network (GSTN) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). He said the move would increase "tax terrorism" in the country. Delhi minister Atishi Marlena also said that many states including West Bengal and Rajasthan spoke against the decision during the GST Council meeting.
