Here's the first recommendation:

The Vermont Soap Company, which makes a great smelling foaming soap product, and has the added benefit of green manufacturing facilities located in Vermont. This is a commonality I've noted within products made in the USA - the benefits extend beyond job production. Often the products include higher quality or organic/natural inputs, and eco-conscious production techniques.
