Head of the European Commission Proposes Replacing Russian LNG with American Gas
The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, proposed to Donald Trump that the U.S. replace Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies with American LNG. According to her, American LNG is cheaper and would help lower energy prices in Europe. Von der Leyen believes the issue of increasing LNG supplies from the U.S. could also be discussed in connection with the EU’s trade surplus with the U.S.
This already sounds like, "Anything, just don't abandon us."
