Sample Introduction and Body Paragraph
Some argue that music mainly serves as a way for individuals to reduce their stress and anxiety.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Listening to music has become an everyday practise, where people turn on their radios or favourite songs while commuting to work, students never put their earphones off while studying or working, and athletes work out listening to high intensity training songs. The question that has been explored for many years is the reason why this pattern is growing, and one explanation is that music helps us overcome stress. Even though this is partially true, there are some other reasons for a growing appeal for music.
First, music has relevance to people’s lives and circumstances. The lyrics and the tone of the singer might sometimes be soothing, dragging a listener out of the problem at least for some time. Someone who got dismissed from college or expelled from work may listen to the songs about failures in life and how temporary they are, therefore feeling supported and calmed. Someone experiencing relationship problems might listen to love songs, reminding themselves of unavoidable challenges and trials in marriage. Music can be relatable; it can become a source of support, inspiration, and understanding for people under high-pressure situations or stress.
