💠 Hard Tick :
🔸Tick paralysis :
Caused by the bite of female hard tick which releases neurotoxins that lead to ascending reversible paralysis.
Treated by removal of tick.
🔸Differential diagnosis :
Acute flaccid paralysis (AFP) is a sudden weakness of muscles or loss of muscle tone, mainly seen in polio ( شلل الأطفال ).
🔸Vector for : Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi), babesia.
