XUNLEI CLOUDY PROVIDER LAUNCHES THE FILE SYSTEM BASED ON BLOKCHEIN
Chinese technology company Xunlei Limited, known as BitTorrent from China, announced on Friday that it has launched a new distributed file system designed to support the blockchain platforms.
It is expected that the ThunderChain (TCFS) file system, as well as the three ThunderChain Request for Comments (TRC) standards, will help support the development of the blockchain. The new file system, in particular, is aimed at integrating the functions of existing platforms, such as IPFS and Filecoin, as well as adding new security features and flexibility.
This news came during a ceremony held in Shenzhen, China before the company unveiled the winners of the international call for applications for funding, which she sponsored. Xunlei first announced the launch of ThunderChain in April, when the company announced that its new unit would be able to provide "processing power in millions of transactions per second".
