Steven Hicks, Konerak Sinthasomphone and Tracy Edwards are most often mentioned among the victims. This is not surprising since Hicks is the first victim, the Sinthasomphone is associated with racism and the inability of police officers to do their jobs, and Edwards is the latest victim whose escape led to Dahmer's arrest. In doing so, nothing personal is written about them, but only their death or, in Edwards's case, their escape is described. Their names and ages are mostly listed, although in the case of Sinthasomphone, it was repeatedly written as "Asian boy", "the 14-year-old boy", "the Laotian youth" or "a young and naked Asian".
All other victims are mostly written as follows: "He killed two more men in 1988, another man in 1989 and four men in 1990" (T3). That is, the VICTIMS ARE ONLY NUMBERS. The exception is T4, which lists all the victims along with their photos, names and dates of death; while emphasizing the importance of remembering the victims. At the same time, the authors of the text would be convincing if they did not make a mistake when writing three names (Curtis Straughter, Errol Linsley, Tony Hughs; it should have been written Curtis Straughter, Errol Lindsey and Tony Hughes) and numerous dates.
From all this, it can be concluded that, as with Bundy, the victims in the texts are not complete persons, but only objects of crime, which means that their objectification occurs.
As with Bundy, sources are mostly written if quotes and photos are involved, but for anything else they are usually not cited. It is worth mentioning T9, text17 in Croatian from Express, which is a copy (with something added/deleted) of text18 in English from the BBC, and T10, text19 in Croatian from the portal
