Easily manage disk space with LVM. 💽
Initialize your physical volume:
sudo pvcreate /dev/sdX
Create a volume group:
sudo vgcreate my_volume_group /dev/sdX
Create a logical volume:
sudo lvcreate -L 10G -n my_logical_volume my_volume_group
Format and mount your new logical volume:
sudo mkfs.ext4 /dev/my_volume_group/my_logical_volume
sudo mount /dev/my_volume_group/my_logical_volume /mnt
