My tip is for you to maximize your profits:

- Be aware of the funding, if you do not intend to hold a trade for a long time, avoid keeping it open if funding is against your position. And try whenever possible to get in and out of your trades as a Maker.

About Makers, Takers and Funding:
- When the Funding Rate is positive, longs pay shorts. When it is negative, shorts pay longs.
- Maker is the one that sends the buy/sell to the order book, without buying/selling at the current market price, waiting for someone to execute its position.
- Taker is the one who buy/sell at market price.

Quick tip for you that operates on bitmex.

This is a quick scalp I just closed.

What I want to show with this image is the importance of knowing the exchange fees.

In this case I opened the long as Taker (Buying at market price) and this generated me 0.0463 BTC in loss instantly (Taker Fees), and some minutes after was the moment of the funding in bitmex (Fees exchanged between longs and shorts every 8 hours) and this added 0.04 BTC loss in my position.

About my total profit that "should" be 0.2853 BTC. Funding + Taker fees reduced 0.0863 BTC, equivalent 30%- of my net profit. This could be even worse if I were to close the operation as well as Taker, which would get me out again -0.047 of profit.

In that case, if I had waited a few minutes and entered that trade after Funding and also entered as Maker, my profit would be 0.2853 instead of 0.01990, a 43%+ increase!

It seems like an interesting time to buy some altcoins, but I'll prefer to wait a bit and do this only if the bitcoin can break the 4k again.

If that does not happen in the next few days the bulls are likely to lose momentum and we will see new falls in bitcoin.

In the calc of WIN RATE, only calls in profit or gain are considered. Disregarding closed on breakeven or open calls.

These are channel results since the opening in February.

* Calls with less than 2.5% gain or loss are counted as breakeven.

* Gains considered in the highest hit target.

* Loss considered at the time of the closing of the operation (Sometimes closed manually and not by auto stop-loss).

Ok, let's go!

I expected bitcoin to keep above $4000. There was bearish divergence on the 4h chart and also on the 1h chart, but I believed that there would still be room to form a larger divergence with the price rising upwards of $4100 and then yes starting a correction.

Unfortunately it happened differently than I expected and we were taken by surprise with some stop-loss hit (#AION, #STRAT and #AMB).

At the moment the scenario is quite undefined and I can not make any clear predictions, I will now wait and see the next moves.
