This logo is taken according to the story of Asclepius with a snake that he accidentally killed when the snake crawled over the body of Prince Glaucus who was in a giant vessel. Then came another snake who put herbal medicine on the dead snake's body and miraculously the snake came back to life. Asclepius, who saw this, put the same herbal medicine on Prince Glaucus' body and after that Prince Glaucus came back to life. So the logo of Asclepius Hospital is a hand wrapped around a snake, the hand represents Asclepius's hand and the snake wrapped around it is a snake that has given instructions for Asclepius to heal others.
