香港思源 Power to Hongkongers

We joined hands with other Hongkongers in different countries, including the Canada, Australia and Japan, to collect letters for the imprisoned freedom fighters. These letters will be mailed to them after compilation and translation, and we hope these encouraging words will cheer them up at this difficult time, especially when they know there is lots of support overseas.

What causes Alex Chow’s death?

Alex fell from a parking lot on Nov 4, 2019, near the site of a protest.
The ledge was 1.2 m tall, making an accident unlikely.

So what was he escaping from?

Delayed medical care

On 01:15 Riot police ordered firefighters and volunteer first-aiders to leave.
On 01:22 Police forbade dispatched ambulance to pass through the road block.

Since Alex’s death, Hongkongers have mourned him monthly, setting public ‘alerts’.
The police has since used anti-Covid laws against mourners, and destroyed public installation.

The regime owned him justice.

Begin an independent enquirer.
Hold police accountable. Let the public mourn Alex’s death.

Most importantly, CCP represses the western values and forcing its own narrative and propaganda to the UK society with false information and silences anyone who dares to speak the truth. This also includes the curb of freedom to express our political stance, even outside China. There were Hong Kong students who were being doxed and physically attacked by the Chinese students after participating in various pro-democracy gatherings and parades. Some of them even received online intimidation confirming their identity and threatened them not to return to Hong Kong (that’s why some of us covered our faces during events).

Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) is shown to be responsible for organizing counter-protest against HongKongers in the UK. Yes, that was the crowd that shouted “One China” and “Hong Kong is China” and followed Hong Kong’s pro-democracy protest everywhere we went. Evidence showed that CSSA is funded by the Chinese embassy.

By providing financial support, CCP pressurizes and limits the subjects that can be mentioned and discussed within UK universities, including issues like Hong Kong, Tibet and Beijing Tiananmen Massacre. They may try to avoid certain political speakers to be invited to events for speech which threaten the principle of academic freedom.
