AN OVERVIEW OF THE ALBANIAN POSITION ON THE WAR IN WEST ASIA

In answer to the question some people have of why Albania tends to support the West Asian Zionist political entity, even though it has a large Muslim population, is less related to the entity, itself, and more related to Albania being very grateful to the USA for its intervention during the conflict between Kosovo and Serbia, an intervention which led to the establishment of Kosovo as a state recognized by a large part of the international community. Given that the entity is a strong ally of the US, by default, it receives Albanian Government passive support out of gratitude to America. But, even so, the Albanian people condemn the genocide in Gaza.

However, there is another factor at play for the pro-American stance, being the large Albanian and Kosovo diaspora in the USA. The diaspora is both old and new, with the new diaspora being comprised of emigrants that have landed in the states via the Green Card Lottery.

As for Kosovo, it was ceded to the Kingdom of Serbia after the Balkan wars (1912-1913) that immediately preceded World War II, even though Kosovo was largely Muslim and most of its population were speakers of the Albanian language. Albania, itself, was recognized as an independent principality with a member of a German princely family as its new prince. However, World War I intervened and the prince never became established on the Albanian throne the great powers assigned to him.

After World War I, though, a native Muslim Albanian recreated Albania first as a republic with himself as president and then as a kingdom with himself as king. Then, in the prelude to World War II, the Italians invaded, overthrowing the king and making Albania a part of an Italian empire that also came to include at various points in time Croatia, Libya, Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Somalia.

In Kosovo, however, the relationship between the Christian Orthodox Serbs and the Muslim Albanian inhabitants of Kosovo was never an easy one. And, with the death of President Tito of Yugoslavia, it quickly spiraled into greater and greater violence until Kosovo was able to gain its independence from Serbia with the military support of the USA.

Also, it is worth noting that in spite of being a Muslim majority nation and in spite of having been occupied by Italy, Albania and Albanians during World War II offered their assistance and support to believers in Judaism who were being persecuted in Europe, a fact that is often mentioned in political circles in Washington DC, Tel Aviv, and so on.

Nevertheless, the voting of the Albanian delegation in the UN has been mostly in line with that of most European countries, meaning Albania condemns the genocide and is for a two-state solution.

However, at the same time, Albania has never had any skin in the game. Its pre-World War II population of followers of Judaism was in the low hundreds, a number that remained largely constant during the communist era. Upon the fall of communism, most of this small group, though never having experienced persecution on account of Judaism, per se, left Albania for economic reasons. The current number is now only around 50 or one for every 55,000 inhabitants. For this reason, relations with the Zionist entity may be said to exist more or less on autopilot and to function, due to a lack of direct involvement one way or another in the conflict, without being given much thought.

There is no such thing as full term abortion! If the baby is viable after 9+ months it's called child birth. If a DnC (removal) does occur at such a late stage it is because either the baby is dead or won't survive outside the womb or the mother's life is in danger. Not because the mother doesn't want the baby. You think some woman is going to go through 9+ months of pregnancy to kill the baby just because? No! That's a ridiculous claim used by stupid politicians trying to get a vote.

If a baby can survive outside the womb, the baby is birthed not killed. They aren't just going around killing healthy full term babies because they aren't wanted.

This term late term abortion is made up by American right wing pro life evangelicals to scare people.

I, by the way, was born 10 weeks premature in 1968. Small, but fully developed.

Stop believing anyone trying to convince you late term abortion is a thing. It just isn't.

Don't believe the "elected leaders", evangelicals and corrupt media of a country bombing and killing innocent babies in Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq (plus many more) all at the same time! Use common sense.
