KuCoin API Notification

Dear KuCoin users,

To provide better trading services for our valued users, KuCoin is going to upgrade the Spot/Margin trading system on 14:00:00 pm, September 23, 2021 (UTC). The upgrade will take about 1 hour.

During this period, the following functions will be affected:

1. KuCoin will suspend all Spot and Margin trading pairs on Web, App and Open API, including the order-matching, order placing, order cancelling.

2. Leveraged Tokens will suspend all trading pairs on Web, App and Open API, including the order-matching, order placing, order cancelling. Subscribe and redeem will be available during this period.

3.The Balance Transfer between accounts will be delayed.

4. Fiat Trade System/ Pool-X System/ Margin Lend and Borrow System will be unstable temporarily.

5. Trading Bot users can’t create or stop the Classic Grid, Smart Rebalance and DCA trading bots, the running bots will not be affected; Users can create or stop Futures Grid trading bots normally.

6. The query function of "Open Orders" and "Asset Balance" on APP, WEB and Open API will be unstable temporarily.

7. During the upgrade period, the debt ratio notification, the liquidation procedure of the Margin account, and asset transfers will be suspended.

10 minutes will be reserved to open the cancellation function before the end of upgrading. To avoid possible risks, you may prepare for risk control in advance.

Once the cancellation function is activated, we will notify by announcement as soon as possible, please pay close attention.

Notice：

1. If a large price fluctuation occurs, we will postpone the upgrade accordingly and notify you via the announcement.

2. During the upgrade period, order placing, order canceling, and order dealing will be suspended. Take profit/stop loss orders may be dealt after the upgrade. Please cancel your orders in the Margin Market to avoid losses that may be caused by violent market fluctuations. At the same time, please consider risk control. It is recommended that you reduce your debt ratio by transferring funds to your Margin Account to avoid the risk of liquidation caused by violent market fluctuations.

At around 14:50 (UTC) on Sep 7, 2021, due to a big surge in traffic brought about by the market moves, the stability of some services on KuCoin was affected. It has caused some issues on service, leading to the access issue of the KuCoin App&Web in some regions.

As soon as the issue was detected, we responded immediately and fixed the access issue urgently, completely resuming all services at about 16:08(UTC) on Sep 7, 2021.

KuCoin Futures Trading System Will Be Suspended for Upgrade - 0818
To cooperate with the upgrade of AWS hardware, KuCoin Futures has scheduled a system upgrade at 01:00 on August 18, 2021 (UTC).

The upgrade will take about 60 minutes. During the period, the order matching, order placing, order cancellation, Take Profit/Stop Loss, Auto-Deposit margin and other features on KuCoin Futures website, app and openAPI will be suspended. It is estimated that the order cancellation will resume at 02:00:00. All trading and order matching services will be available at 02:10:00.

The strategy of Request Rate Limit has modified by KuCoin on July 15, 2021 (UTC). After upgrading, Spot API and spot API will use the strategy.

1. When a rate limit is exceeded, a status of 429 will be returned.
2. Once the rate limit is exceeded, the system will restrict your use of your IP or account for 10s.
3. The limit strategy of private endpoints will restrict account by userid. The limit strategy of public endpoints will restrict IP.

Dear KuCoin users,

Affected by the mandatory upgrade of the third-party platform Amazon Web Services (AWS), KuCoin is going to upgrade the Spot, Margin and Futures trading system on 04:30:00 am, July 20, 2021 (UTC). The upgrade will take about 3 hours.

During this period, the following functions will be affected:
1. KuCoin will suspend all Spot and Margin trading pairs on Web, App and Open API, including the order-matching, order placing, order cancelling.
2. KuCoin Futures will suspend the order-matching, order-placing, stop loss/take profit, auto-deposit margin and other related features on Web, App and Open API.
3. KuCoin will suspend services such as account login, market quotation view and Balance Transfer between accounts. The query function of "Open Orders" and "Asset Balance" on APP, WEB and Open API will be unstable temporarily. The message push and relevant interfaces of API market will not be available.
4. Fiat Trade System/ Pool-X System/ Margin Lend and Borrow System will be unstable temporarily.
5. The Trading Bot will not provide services, and the Open Orders will not be affected. Users will not be able to create or shut down trading bots and running robots will be suspended.
6. During the upgrade period, the Margin debt ratio notification will be suspended, the liquidation of the Margin account will not be processed, and the asset transfers will not be available between the Margin account and other accounts.
7. Subscribe and redeem of Leveraged Tokens will be unavailable during this period.

10 minutes will be reserved to open the cancellation function before the end of upgrading. To avoid possible risks, you may enable the “take profit/stop loss features”.
Once the cancellation function is activated, we will notify by announcement as soon as possible, please pay close attention.

You can reduce the debt ratio by transferring funds to your Margin Account.
