MHM Voice Chat (VC) Rules
(now called video chat but it doesn't record your video)
👥To help build better interaction between members of our community, we often start VC at allocated times that makes it easier for mods to monitor and also to avoid offtopic conversations.
⚠️Please go through all sections of DISCLAIMER before you join VC (Although we try our best to moderate VC, we might miss some incidents and you can inform admins/mods who are in VC 'immediately' and help keep it a safe place).

👥'In addition' to general group rules, we have some specific VC rules that everyone must abide by to make VC a better and comfortable space to be in :

1. Be nice and respectful. Don't insult/harass/laugh/mock others. Treat others how you would want to be treated.

2. Keep mic OFF at all times unless you're speaking.

3. Anyone using voice changer or joining voice chat with a channel will be MUTED immediately or removed. In case you notice any such activity, inform admins in VC.

4. NO annoying, loud or high pitch noises.
Reduce the amount of background noise if possible.
Ask if you're audible/your voice is clear when you join.

5. NO inappropriate, sexual or explicit language. Refer group rule 1

6. After discussion about someone's case is closed, please pause for a bit and ask if anyone who's on VC want to share something related to their MH or interact.
This gives others a chance to speak (if they're comfortable speaking) and gives you a break as well.

7. Please try to communicate in a language which most people present in VC could understand(If you're not sure, you may ask when you join VC). This ensures that others don't feel ignored and it also helps you in getting suggestions from more people.


8. Agree to disagree. Suggest but don't force your opinion on others. Refer group rule 5
Do NOT argue and ruin your peace of mind and that of others. Report the matter to admins and wait for them to intervene. Be the wiser one. Refer group rule 4

9. VC might be recorded if recent inappropriate activity was reported to keep such activities in check. But we generally don't record VC (red dot blinking at the top, right to VC title is an indicator that it's being recorded).

10. Immediately stop the ongoing discussion if a Moderator/admin asks you to do so! Refer group rule 12

MHM Rules and Regulations

Welcome to MHM! This is a safe space to share about your Mental Health. We believe everyone's voice should be heard.
We encourage your feedback and aim to respond to your suggestions/reports as soon as possible. While we do moderate this community; to help everyone have a good time here, we ask that when you post, you keep in mind the following: 


1. Do NOT post content that is :
Political, abusive, threatening, obscene, defamatory, libelous, discriminatory, profane, threatening, racial, sexual, religious, NSFW or otherwise objectionable or offensive.

2. Remember to keep the conversation related to mental health.
Please refrain from engaging in conversations on controversial topics. No hate-based chat targetted towards a particular community. Always remember -> This is not a general chat group. No Off-topic conversations please.

3. Do NOT force anyone to reveal their personal info if they aren't comfortable with it.

4. Do NOT force your opinion on anyone. Remember everyone has own view, respect them and agree to disagree.
Respect that other people in the group have had different life experiences and may have a different perspective to yours. We welcome different viewpoints.

5. Contribute with your suggestions constructively and considerately, don't be rude. Refrain from replying to every comment unless your inputs are helpful, don't spam!

6. Do NOT give medical advice or that regarding medication. More on it HERE

7. Do NOT DM anyone without prior approval.
Block immediately if u don't want to continue chat in DM
Catfishing is prohibited and you will be banned if caught.
REPORT & wait if someone from the group sends inappropriate texts and they'd be punished.

8. Impersonating any staff or members of the group will result in a ban. Coordinated attacks to disrupt harmony of the group, personal attacks, name-calling, trolling and abuse would not be tolerated and offenders would be punished.

9. Spamming, posting promotional material or posting links to third party websites is not permitted unless approved by MHM Admins Team.

10. Do NOT have inappropriate name/profile picture and if an admin/mod asks you to change, please do it otherwise necessary action would be taken.

11. MHM Admins & mods reserve the right to delete comments at their discretion and suitably punish any repeat offenders. Content that is fraudulent, deceptive, misleading or irrelevant would be deleted and offenders punished accordingly.

12. End the conversation if an admin/mod asks you to do so and don't argue or you'd be muted/warned.

13. Our community is a public place. Don’t post personal information that you would not be comfortable sharing with a stranger. We recommend that you don’t post any information that may identify you or anyone else unless you're comfortable with it. More on it HERE

14. Please try to communicate in a language which most people could understand. This ensures that others don't feel ignored and it also helps you in getting suggestions from more people. Most importantly, it keeps chat relevant for most people.
(If you're not comfortable and still want to discuss in a local language which is uncommon in group, please courteously ask in chat if someone knows that language and willing to chat with you in DM)

15. NO Advertisement without prior permission from admins team or you'll be warned even if it's Mental Health related. Contact @mhmreportbot.

Violation of any of the above can be reported at @mhmreportbot with evidence. Type 'report' in group to know how you can report.
Wait for MHM team to take action after report.

👉🏼If any of the above rules are violated, then staff reserves the right to take the necessary action against the offender.
We expect all the members to be humble and respectful towards each other as well as welcoming towards the new members and help maintain good peer support community.

Illegal, Harmful, or Offensive Use or Content

You may not use, encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to use, the Platform for any illegal, harmful or offensive use, or to transmit, display or otherwise make available content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive.

Prohibited activities or content include:
(A) Illegal Activities: Any illegal activities (whether illegal under any applicable local, national or international law or regulation), including advertising, transmitting, disseminating, promoting or facilitating pornography.
(B) Harmful or Fraudulent Activities: Activities that may be harmful to others, our operations or reputation, including offering or disseminating fraudulent goods, services, schemes, or promotions, or engaging in other deceptive practices.
(C) Offensive Content: Disseminating or posting material(including such text message) that is unlawful, libellous, defamatory, obscene, indecent, explicit, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive or otherwise objectionable.

Views expressed

The views expressed by anyone who is a part of MHM are their own and based on their experience. MHM team doesn't take any responsibility for views expressed or suggestions given by anyone who is a part of group whether in private or in group.
Any inappropriate/irrelevant texts can always be reported at @mhmreportbot for admins to take appropriate action. For details on how to report, type 'report' in group.

Medical

This is free to use, peer support community and it aims to encourage you to seek professional help near you.
We are not professionals here to give medical advice.
We can be a support community for you while you're on your way to recovery, encourage you to seek professional help and offer a place for you to share your concerns.
(And we suggest you not to seek medical advice here as well from anyone because credentials of professionals aren't easy to verify)
But for help in emergency or immediate crisis, we have provided suicide hotlines.

Please book an appointment with a mental health professional in your area if you are experiencing mental health concerns/experiences that are affecting your daily life activities.
Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on group or suggested by anyone.

Suggestions by anyone who is a part of MHM are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
Reliance on any information provided by anyone who is a part of MHM is solely at your own risk because we don't do background profile check of everyone here as it's an open and public community, not a professional medical consultation group.

Responsibility and Personal Information Confidentiality

You acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily in using group and that you are solely and personally responsible for your choices, actions, and results, now and in the future. You accept full responsibility for the consequences of your use of any information(including advice related to health) provided by anyone who is a part of MHM, and you agree to use your own judgment and due diligence before implementing any idea, suggestion or recommendation from our group in your life, on you and everyone.

Under no circumstance shall MHM team bear any liability to you or any other party for any damages, costs or expenses whatsoever (including without limitation, any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages, loss of profits or loss opportunity) that are incurred as a result of your use of the MHM group or reliance on any information, materials or online services provided on the these platforms, even if MHM has been advised as to the possibility of such damages. Therefore, it is reiterated that your use of MHM group and reliance on any information materials or online services provided, is solely at your own risk.

MHM team bears no liability for any injuries, loss of life or damages that are incurred as a result of your use of the this group, reliance on information provided by another user or actions/words of other users. MHM admins & moderators can only remove/ban users after noticing their offences, as moderators cannot predict what every user will post or how they will act, your use of the MHM and reliance on information provided by another user, or any other users’ actions or words, is solely at your own risk.

MHM team would like to make it clear that there is no client confidentiality if you use or access the MHM group. This means MHM team bears no liability if any personal confidential information (such as, but not limited to, personal bank details, credit or debit card information, residential address, personal handphone number, personal health problems or ailments) you provided to other users or at helpline numbers is leaked outside the group. We clearly specify here that the suicide hotlines provided in group aren't related to us in any way and are independent. We have provided link to those contacts for emergency from web but do no bear any related responsibility.
