(Talk Life Coach) is an interactive talk session, to look through in life with wonder and exploring our participation with life. This can be initiated through the Art of Inquiry - the creative process of searching for the "why" and "how", and helps to enhances clarity to almost all aspects of our life.
"I don’t know"
When I search the phrase "I don’t know"; out of 15,210,000,000; results Paul James McCartney’s song appears the first. I’m very superstitious and do believe in Providence. Then I start to listen to the song and read the lyrics. As usual, I waited to be touched to get that impression and the feeling that drives me to express what comes through my imagination. Just happened right away, this statement caught my attention from the lyrics “What am I doing wrong I don’t know” then I try to think through and relate the meanings with my life.
I remember incidents when I was young and when people commonly told me not to say the words “ENENJA” or “I don’t know” but it was easy for me to use it whether they like it or not. I was stubborn.
Now, being an observer helps me to catchphrases through any conversations and contemplate around meanings in order to identify their nature of intention, character, attitude, belief, point of view, personality and so on. I do enjoy using them to navigate the world of thoughts and ideas.
What am I doing wrong, what was I thinking or what was I achieving by saying “ENENJA” or “I don’t know”? I don't remember why but I used to act like a machine that design to react for any kind of commanding attitude and tone. No matter how bad things will come after I said what I want.
If you sometimes say I don’t know, what were you thinking?
Through ups and downs, I learn few words like – “I have no idea, not as far as I know” to ensure a good conversation even if it comes from undesirable attitude or behavior. Honestly, it is hard to keep it that way all the time.
Currently, when the more I’m doing research and practice mindfulness, I become aware of other deeper state of not knowing. Describing what it looks like is very vague but perceiving that moment of experiencing the state, it makes it more indefinable and overwhelming.
As ECKHART TOLLE said, “Being at ease with not knowing is crucial for answers to come to you.” Take it easy and have a wonderful day.
Thank you for those who interact; you are the inspiration and courage to all of us.
