The Financial Services Agency of 🇯🇵Japan (FSA) announced the introduction of a ban on anonymous cryptocurrencies because of the potential for their use in fraudulent purposes. The official law will come into force on June 18 📌
Information about a possible ban of 👤anonymous altcoins appeared in April. The reason for the tightening of regulation was the cracking of the Coincheck exchange. Then hackers managed to steal $533 million❗️ in the NEM.
Despite the ban, the regulator said that this decision will not hinder the development of the crypto industry, but will only make it as transparent and safe for investors as possible 🌱
Also, on May 25, Japan passed a law according to which crypto exchanges operators are obliged to pass mandatory registration with the FSA.
We think that Japan is only the beginning of a total struggle with anonymous coins
