After the case came to the notice of the police, Station officer Shyam Sunder from Kotwali threatened the victim to file a case against him instead of acting on his grievance. The Circle officer Piyushkant said that the dispute is very old to act upon it.

The twitter handle on Amethi police also said that the allegations have not been proved.

Gruesome murder in Guwahati:
In a shocking incident, once again one aboriginal Bhumiputra a tribal boy Rituparna Pegu was stabbed to death in broad daylight in Noomati area of Guwahati city on Friday by Arman Ali & Ali Hussain.
According to the police, a case has been registered in this regard and the main accused, Ali and a co-accused have been caught by the police.
This is an alarming situation given the demographic changes in Assam.
A few days back Sanatan Deka was also killed for a mere argument.
While the national media has successfully hidden this news but we at Right Side won't sit silent.
We stand rock solid with our North Eastern brothers and sisters and we will ensure that their voices are heard.
Let this reach everyone.
