Sixthly: If any criticism against Sheikh Yahya is proven true, we must accept it and act in accordance to what it entails without exceeding the limits. For example:

▪️- if the criticism relates to a legitimate issue of ijtihad, we are to avoid Sheikh Yahya's stance in this particular matter -if it's proven to be incorrect- and adopt the stronger view, while honouring the Sheikh and respecting his efforts

The Prophet ﷺ said:
((‏إذا حكم الحاكم، فاجتهد، ثم أصاب، فله أجران، وإن حكم واجتهد، فأخطأ، فله أجر‏))
“When a judge utilises his skill of judgement and comes to a right decision, he will have a double reward, but when he uses his judgement and commits a mistake, he will have a single reward.” [Agreed upon from the hadeeth of 'Amr ibn Al-'Aas]

▪️- and if the criticism relates to an issue where there is no room for differing, the people of knowledge will establish the hujjah against him and take the necessary steps to guide him back to the truth. We do not hasten to make tabdī’ of him, but if he persists and the scholars declare him an innovator, we will accept that declaration.

Seventhly: if however, the criticism against Sheikh Yahya is proven to be:
1. false, or
2. mere slip-ups which have been blown out of proportion, and thus do not merit tabdī’, or
3. mistakes which he has recanted from, or
4. other people's mistakes which he is being held responsible for...then we must pay no attention to such criticism and beware of those who speak ill and declare tabdī’ on Sheikh Yahya on the basis of such criticism.


Laying down the foundation:

Before going into any misconception or accusation, we need to come to a mutual agreement in order for our discussion to bear fruitful results. Hereunder I have listed some points which we -as Salafis- should have no disagreement concerning:

Firstly: If we are truly seeking the truth, then we must stay far from following our desires, as Allah The Most High said:
{وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰ فَیُضِلَّكَ عَن سَبِیلِ ٱللَّهِ}
“And follow not your desire for it will mislead you from the Path of Allah.”
[Surah Sâd: 26]

Secondly: We must not be biased to anyone or anything but the truth.

Thirdly: The truth is that which is established in the Qurʿān and Sunnah; in conformity with the understanding of the Salaf.

Allah The Almighty said:
{ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَاۤ أُنزِلَ إِلَیۡكُم مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ مِن دُونِهِۦۤ أَوۡلِیَاۤءَ}
“Follow what has been sent down to you from your Lord (i.e. Quran & Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc.) besides Him.”
[Surah Al-A`râf: 3]

And He The Almighty said:
{وَمَن یُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَیَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَیَتَّبِعۡ غَیۡرَ سَبِیلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِینَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَۖ وَسَاۤءَتۡ مَصِیرًا}
“And whoever opposes the Messenger after guidance has become clear to him and follows other than the way of the believers - We shall leave him on his chosen path, then burn him in Hell—what an evil end! . ”
[Surah An-Nisâ': 115]

Fourthly: Once the truth is established, we have to be just and accept it, whether we like it or not - even if it is presented to us by our worst enemy.

Allah The Most High said:
{ یَـٰۤأَیُّهَا ٱلَّذِینَ ءَامَنُوا۟ كُونُوا۟ قَوَّ ٰ⁠مِینَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاۤءَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِۖ وَلَا یَجۡرِمَنَّكُمۡ شَنَـَٔانُ قَوۡمٍ عَلَىٰۤ أَلَّا تَعۡدِلُوا۟ۚ ٱعۡدِلُوا۟ هُوَ أَقۡرَبُ لِلتَّقۡوَىٰ}
“O believers! Stand firm for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just! That is closer to righteousness.”
[Surah Al-Mâ'idah: 8]

Fifthly: from the general principles of the Shari’ah is that:
اليقين لا يزول بالشك
'Certainty is not overruled by doubt'

Meaning, whatever is established with certainty cannot be removed by doubt. In other words, things are assumed to remain as they are until it is established with certainty that they are otherwise.

By extension, when someone is proven to be an upright, reliable individual (as 'was' the case with Sheikh Yahya by everyone's admission), we cannot accept anyone's criticism of him unless this criticism is Mufassar (explained) and established with evidences.

Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal rahimahullah said:

«كل رجل ثبتت عدالته لم يقبل فيه تجريح أحد، حتى يتبين ذلك عليه بأمر لا يحتمل غير جرحه».

“If someone's uprightness is established, no one's criticism against him will be accepted until that (which he is being criticised for) becomes apparent upon him in such a way that he cannot be excused from disparagement.”
[Tahdheeb At-Tahdheeb (7/273)]

Imam At-Tabari rahimahullah said:

«من ثبتت عدالته لم يقبل فيه الجرح، وما تسقط العدالة بالظن»

“If someone's uprightness is established, no (unverified) criticism will be accepted against him, and one's uprightness is not overruled by speculation.”
[Hadyu As-Saari - P. 428]

Imam Bukhari rahimahullah said:

«لم ينج كثير من الناس من كلام بعض الناس فيهم، ولم يلتفت أهل العلم في هذا النحو إلا ببيان وحجة، ولم تسقط عدالتهم إلا ببرهان ثابت وحجة»

“Many were unable to escape being criticised by others, and the people of knowledge did not pay any attention to that unless it was based on proof and evidence, and their uprightness was not overruled except with firm proof and evidence.”

11. Abu Khadeejah Abdulwaahid's praise for Sheikh Yahya

▪️He called him a 'Shaykh'

▪️ He said he is 'Thiqah' i.e. a trustworthy & reliable individual

▪️There are numerous fatwas of Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajoori that were shared on the Spubs site 'SalafiTalk'

▪️Spubs invited Sheikh Yahya to the UK in 1998. They hosted him in their masjid, studied under him and sought fatwa from him. Upon his return to Dammaj, Sheikh Yahya described his visit in a beneficial lecture. The translation of this lecture can be found on this link ⤵️

10. Sheikh 'Abdul-Azeez Al-Bura'ee hadaahullah

▪️(نحن نعلم أنه على تقوى الله عزّ وجلّ ومراقبة، وأخونا في الله عزّوجلّ ونحبّه في الله، وعالم من علماء السُّنّة، نفع الله به ، أسدٌ من أسود السُّنّة، تاجٌ على رؤوس أهل السُّنّة)

“We know that he is upon Taqwa and consciousness of Allah the Mighty and Majestic. He is our brother in faith. We love him for the sake of Allah. He is a scholar from the scholars of the Sunnah through whom Allah has benefited. A lion from the lions of the Sunnah. A crown on the heads of Ahlus-Sunnah.”

9. Sheikh Muhammad Al-Imaam hadaahullah

▪️(لا يصلح للجرح والتعديل في هذا العصر إلا الشيخ ربيع والشيخ يحيى)

“Sheikh Rabee' and Sheikh Yahya are the only ones best suited for Al-Jarh wat Ta'deel in this era.”

8. Sheikh 'Abdurrahmaan 'Al-Adeni ghafarallahu lahu

(أخونا الشيخ يحيى ابن علي الحجوري حفظه الله تعالى من علماء أهل السنة في اليمن، من المشايخ المبرزين في هذه البلاد المباركة، وممن وفقه الله عز وجل للدراسة عند شيخنا الإمام مقبل بن هادي الوادعي رحمه الله تعالى رحمة واسعة. وفقه الله عز وجل للدراسة على يديه وتتلمذ على يديه فترة طويلة قرابة اثني عشر سنة أو أكثر وكان ملازما لدماج، ما يخرج إلا لحاجة أو ضرورة، ممتدا على العلم صباح مساء. فلذلك وفقه الله عز وجل لهذا العلم الذي -يعني- نراه، وهكذا وفقه الله عز وجل للحرص على الرجوع إلى الكتاب والسنة في مسائل الفقه والعقيدة وفي المحاضرات وفي الكلمات وفي النصائح، فهو من إخواننا المبرزين جدا في هذا، حرصه على الاستدلال بآيات من كتاب الله عز وجل وبآحاديث عن النبي ﷺ، وهكذا كراهته للتقليد وكراهته للحزبية وللبدعة، فنفع عز وجل بعلمه وبجهوده فأقبل طلاب العلم بعد وفاة شيخنا رحمة الله عليه على هذا المركز المبارك ينهلون من دروس الشيخ يحيى حفظه الله تعالى ومن الدروس القائمة الأخرى، فالشيخ يحيى كما سمعتم من كبار أهل السنة في اليمن وممن قد ظهر خيرهم عند القاصي والداني. فما يجحد الخير الذي عند الشيخ يحيى إلا رجل إما حاسد أو حاقد على الشيخ يحيى وعلى هذه الدعوة المباركة. ثم ارجعوا إلى كتبه وارجعوا الى أشرطته. ما ترون إلا آية قرآنية وحديثا نبويا وشرحا لهذه الآية وشرحا لهذا الحديث النبوي)

“Our brother, Sheikh Yahya Ibn Ali Al-Hajoori hafidhahulah is one of the scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah in Yemen. He is among the eminent Sheikhs in this blessed country, and one to whom Allah has granted success in studying with our Sheikh, Imam Muqbil ibn Haadi Al-Wadee’i, may Allah have mercy upon him in abundance. Allah gave him success to study with him, thus he studied at his hands for a long time; a period of about twelve years or more, and he remained in Dammaj continuously - only leaving due to a need or a necessity. He was persistently busy with knowledge morning and evening. As a result, Allah endowed him with knowledge as we can see. Likewise, Allah blessed him with the devotion to refer to the Qurʿān and Sunnah in matters of Fiqh, 'Aqeedah, and during lectures, reminders and advices. So he is one of our brothers who are distinguished in this regard; his devotion to reference Ayaat from the Book of Allah and hadiths of the Prophet ﷺ. Likewise, his hatred for blindfollowing, partisanship and innovation. And Allah brought benefit by way of his knowledge and efforts, as students of knowledge turned to this blessed centre after the death of our Sheikh rahimahullah in order to benefit from the lessons of Sheikh Yahya hafidhahullah as well as the other existing lessons. So as you have heard, Sheikh Yahya is from the senior (scholars) of Ahlus-Sunnah in Yemen and of those whose virtue has become apparent to those far and near. No one denies the virtue of Sheikh Yahya except one who is either envious or spiteful of Sheikh Yahya and this blessed Da'wah. Moreover, go back to his books and recordings, you will see nothing but an Ayah from the Qur'an, a prophetic hadith, or an explanation of this Ayah and prophetic hadith.”

7. Sheikh Muhammad ibn Hizam hadaahullah

(وأما بالنسبة لمن يطعن في الشيخ يحيى فما يضر إلا نفسه و الطعن في علماء أهل السنة والجماعة علامة أهل البدع علامة المبتدع وعلامة الزائغ الطعن في العلماء كما قال أبو حاتم الرازي وقتيبة بن سعيد رحمة اللّه عليهما: علامة أهل البدع الوقيعة في أهل الأثر. وقال: فالشيخ يحيى ممن نرجوا له أن يرفعه اللّه عزوجل درجات في هذه الفتنة لأنه صبر واحتسب وجاهد فسيرفعه اللّه عزوجل وستذكرون ما هي إلا أيام وسترون الرفعة للشيخ يحيى حفظه اللّه إن شاء اللّه ترون من طعن فيه وتكلم فيه وقدح فيه إن لم يتداركه الله عزوجل بتوبة صادقة ستجدونه ضائعا عن طلب العلم يترك طلب العلم وربما يشغل في الأوقات وربما يرجع إلى الدنيا و البحث عن بعض المشاكل و غير ذلك من الامور و العياذ بالله. وقال: هم - أي العلماء - يرون أن من طعن – أي في الشيخ يحيى - فهو رجل مفتون يجب أن يبتعد عنه من طعن وحذر فهم ما يرضون به ويرون الإبتعاد عنه ويرون ان هذا رجل زائغ ورجل مفتون)

“As for those who slander Sheikh Yahya, they do not harm anyone but themselves. And slandering the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal-Jama’ah is from sign of the people of innovation and deviance, as Abu Hatim Ar-Razi and Qutaibah ibn Sa'eed, may Allah have mercy on them both, said: 'The sign of the people of innovation is their slander of the people of Athar.' ” And he said: “Sheikh Yahya is one for whom we hope that Allah Almighty elevates his rank due to this Fitnah (i.e. fitnah of Abdurrahmaan Al-Adeni and co.), because he has remained patient, seeking Allah's reward and striving hard, hence Allah Almighty will elevate him. Mark my words, it's only a matter of days Insha'Allah before you see the elevation of Sheikh Yahya hafidhahullah, and you will see those who insulted and spoke ill of him -unless Allah Almighty rectifies their affair and grata them sincere repentance- You will find them diverted from seeking knowledge, they will abandon seeking knowledge and may become occupied at times and may return to (chasing after) the Dunya and looking for some problems and other matters, we seek Allah's protection. And he said: They, i.e. the scholars, consider anyone who speaks ill of Sheikh Yahya to be a person of fitnah who we must stay away from. Anyone who speaks ill and warns (against Sheikh Yahya), they (the scholars) are not pleased with him and they see that they should be abandoned, and they see this person as a deviant and a person of fitnah.”

6. Sheikh Jameel As-Silwi hafidhahullah

(الذي يتكلم في الشيخ يحيى مطعون، فالشيخ يحيى حفظه الله يتكلم لله ولدين الله، وأحدنا قد يجبُن أن يتكلم في بعض الأمور، وهو قد هيّئه الله لهذا الأمر، للتعليم والتأليف ولحل كثير من المشاكل).

“He who speaks ill of Sheikh Yahya is one who is disparaged. Sheikh Yahya hafidhahullah speaks for Allah's sake and for the sake of Allah's religion, whereas some of us may be fearful to speak about some matters, but Allah has enabled him to take on this matter; teaching, authorship, and resolving many problems.”

He (Sheikh Yahya) follows the path of our Sheikh (Muqbil) rahimahullah in guarding the Sunnah and defending it, and in clarifying the condition of the liars, and this is what enraged them.”

5. Sheikh Muhammad ibn Maani' Al-Aanasi hafidhahullah

▪️(ثم أيضا مما نوصي به إخواننا: أن نرحل إلى قلعة السنة ومعقل السلفية، إلى دار الحديث وأصل الدعوة في هذه البلاد، التي نفع الله بها كثيرا وهدى بها كثيرا، ولا تزال والحمد لله موردا ومقصدا لطلب العلم من أقطار الأرض...هذه الدار نصر الله بها السنة ونصر الله بها الدعوة السلفية، وأذل الله بها أهل البدع وأهل الضلال وأهل الإنحراف، وصارت هذه الدار محنة في زماننا، يعرف السني السلفي الصادق بمحبتها، ومحبة أهلها والقائمين عليها، ويعرف المنحرف ببغضها وبغض القائمين عليها.
أضحى ابن حنبل محنة مأمونة*وبحب أحمد يعرف المتنسك
وإذا رأيت لأحمد متنقصا*فاعلم أن ستوره ستهتك
)

“And we advise our brothers to go to the fortress of the Sunnah and the stronghold of Salafiyyah; to Daarul Hadith (in Dammaj); the origin of the Da'wah in this country, by which Allah has benefited and guided many, and it is still, praise be to Allah, a spring and a destination for students of knowledge from all parts of the world...This centre, by which Allah has given victory to the Sunnah and the Salafi Da'wah, and humiliated by it the people of innovation, misguidance, and deviation, such that this centre has become a trial in our time; the truthful Salafi Sunni is known by his love for it and love for its people and those in charge of it, and the deviant is known by his hatred for it and hatred for those in charge of it.
Ibn Hanbal became a reliable test ** thus through the love of Ahmad do we recognise the Mutanassik (true follower of the Sunnah)
And if you were to see someone discrediting Ahmad ** know that their veil will become exposed.

(من شروط قبول الخبر عند أهل العلم: العلم بحال المخبر، فإذا كان المخبر مجهولا فإنه لا يقبل خبره لا يقبل قول إلا من كان معروفا ثقة، وتعلمون أن الشيخ -وفقه الله- الشيخ يحيى خليفة من؟ هو خليفة شيخنا -رحمة الله عليه- وهو ثابت على السنة [كلمة غير واضحة] سيفا مسلولا على رقاب أهل البدع وأهل البلاء، صداعا بالحق، ولهذا...كثر أعدائه وحساده ولا يضره هذا إن شاء الله والحق منصور..الحق منصور..نعم... والحق منصور وممتحن فلا ***تعجب فهذا من سنة الرحمن
كما قال الحافظ ابن القيم، الشاهد بارك الله فيكم أن أعداء السنة كثيرون، لكن نحن لا نبالي بهم...كل ما يقال الآن ضده فهو من الباطل -من الباطل- وهو ثابت كما قلنا على السنة، وحاله كما قال ذلك الزاهد بل أفضل التابعين أويس القرني قال: "إنا لنأمرهم بالمعروف وننهاهم عن المنكر فيتخذوننا أعداء، ويشتمون أعراضنا، ويجدون على ذلك من الفاسقين أعوانا، حتى والله لقد رموني بالعظائم، والله لا يمنعني ذلك أن أقول بالحق." فهو قوال بالحق -فهو قوال بالحق- لا يخشى إلا الله عز وجل، وهو يسلك مسلك شيخنا -رحمة الله عليه- في الذب عن السنة، في الدفاع عنها، بيان حال المبطلين، وهذا غاضهم)

“Among the conditions for accepting a report according to the people of knowledge is knowing the condition of the reporter. If the reporter is unknown, his report is not accepted, and no statement is accepted unless it comes from those who are well-known and trustworthy, and you know that Sheikh Yahya is who's successor? He is the successor of our Sheikh rahimahullah (i.e. Sheikh Muqbil). He is firm upon the Sunnah [unclear word], a sword drawn on the necks of the people of innovation and the people of affliction, vocal in proclaiming the truth, and due to this his enemies and haters are many, and this will not harm him Insha'Allah, because the truth will prevail..the truth will be prevail..yes.
The truth will prevail but with test, so do not *** be surprised, for this is from the way (Sunnah) of Ar-Rahmaan
As Al-Hafidh Ibn Al-Qayyim said, the point being, may Allah bless you all, that the enemies of the Sunnah are many, but we do not care about them...and everything that is said right now against him is false...and he is firm upon the Sunnah as we said. And his condition is as mentioned by the ascetic, rather the best of the Tabi'een, Uwais Al-Qarani: 'We command them with good and forbid them from evil, but they take us as enemies and insult our honour, and find those who support them upon that from the immoral, to the extent, and I swear by Allah, they have accused me of heinous crimes, but by Allah, that does not prevent me from speaking the truth.'




4. Sheikh Rabee' ibn Haadi Al-Madkhali waffaqahullah

▪️(الشيخ يحيى من أفاضل الناس، وعلى ثغر عظيم ...وإخوانكم والشيخ يحيى من أفاضل العلماء، ولهم ميزات - والله - لا توجد الآن في الدنيا، يدرسون لا للشهادات، ويدرِّسون لا لأجل الأموال، يعني الآن في الإمارات، في المملكة الأستاذ يمكن تعبان يتقاضى عشرين ألف، ثلاثين ألفًا، وهؤلاء لا يتقاضون أي شي لا من الحكومة ولا من غيرها ، يدرسون لله ويعلِّمون لوجه الله -سبحانه وتعالى-، فهذه -والله- ميزة لكم ، وميزة لدعوتكم).

“Sheikh Yahya Al-Hajoori is from amongst the most virtuous of people and is in a magnificent establishment...Sheikh Yahya are noble scholars, they have virtues that by Allah are not present in the Dunya at this time. They do not teach for certification or degrees, they do not teach for wealth, in the Emirates and Saudi, a teacher who may not even be qualified can earn 20 or 30,000 – they do not take any salaries, not from the government or otherwise. They study and teach for the pleasure of Allah the Elevated, by Allah this is a virtue for you, a virtue for your Da’wah, so have respect for it and be keen on maintaining its strength, may Allah bless you all.”

▪️(سئل الشيخ ربيع: ما رأيكم في الذهاب للدراسة في دار الحديث في دماج في اليمن مع العلم أنني طالب علم مبتدئ؟ فأجاب: (نعم. ينبغي أن تُشَد الرِّحال إلى هذا المعقل من معاقل الإسلام، وهذه المنارة من منارات الإسلام. نعم. يشد إليها الرحال ويطلب فيها العلم، ويجد فيها إن شاء الله الخير الكثير، ويجد فيها السنة والهدى، ويجد فيها اتباع النبي ﷺ. فنحن والله نشجع على الدراسة في هذه الدار التي هي من معاقل السنة ومن مناراتها؛ وفيها رجال إن شاء الله من أهل السنة والهدى والعلم ... فلله الحمد. من أراد الخير، ومن أراد الهدى، ومن أراد البعد عن الفتن، فعليه بمعاقل السنة، ولله الحمد، فهي متوفرة في كثير من البلدان، ولاسيما هذا المعقل الذي أرى فيه تميزا واضحا، ولله الحمد. فهنيئا لمن يرحل إليه يقتبس الهدى من معينه، ويستنير بما فيه من السنة والخير)

Sheikh Rabee’ was asked: What is your opinion on going to study at Darul Hadith in Dammaj, in Yemen, knowing that I am a beginner student? He replied: “Yes. One ought to travel to this stronghold from the strongholds of Islam and this beacon from the beacons of Islam. Yes. Travel to it and seek knowledge therein. He find therein, Insha'Allah, much good, he will the Sunnah and guidance, and he will find therein adherence to the Prophet ﷺ. By Allah, we encourage studying at this centre, which is one of the strongholds of the Sunnah and one of its beacons. And therein are men, Insha'Allah, from the people of Sunnah, guidance and knowledge. Praise be to Allah. Whoever wants good, whoever wants guidance, and whoever wants to stay away from temptation (Fitnah), then let him stick to the strongholds of the Sunnah, and praise be to Allah, for they are available in many countries, especially this stronghold (i.e. Dammaj) in which I see clear Tamayyuz (distinction), and praise be to Allah. So congratulations to those who travel thereto, who seeks guidance from its (true) source, and is enlightened by what is contained therein of the Sunnah and goodness.”

▪️وقال الأخ أبو همام البيضاني: (يقول شيخنا العلامة ربيع بن هادي المدخلي حفظه الله تعالى: لا أعلم مكانًا للعلم مثل دمّاج، لأن الطالب يذهب إليها فيمكث الوقت القليل ويأتينا بالعلم الكثير)

Abu Humaam Al-Baydhani relayed that Sheikh Rabee' said: “I don't know a place for (seeking) knowledge equal to Dammaj, because the student goes there and stays for a short time and comes to us with lot of knowledge.”

3. Sheikh Muhammad ibn 'AbdilWahhaab Al-Banna rahimahullah

▪️سئل الشيخ -رحمه الله- بعد حوار مع الشيخ-: ليس كما يدّعي بعضهم أنهم غيّروا وبدّلوا بعد الشيخ مقبل؟؟ فأجاب رحمه الله: (والله ما أدري ماذا أقوال والله، والله ما أدري ماذا أقوال، يعني الآن أفضل مكان تريد تتعلم فيه السلفية على حقيقتها بالعلم والعمل هي دماج والله، الآن مكة دخلها الخوّان المفلسون أفسدوها والله، اللي عاوز يتعلم السلفية الصحيحة مع العمل في دماج...والله أحسن الناس الآن.)

The Sheikh rahimahullah was asked after a discussion with the Sheikh: “So it's not as some of them claim that they changed and altered (their way) after (the passing of) Sheikh Muqbil? The Sheikh responded: By Allah! I don't know what to say. By Allah! I don't know what to say. I mean, the best place right now to learn Salafiyyah in its true form with knowledge and action And work is Dammaj, by Allah. Now Makkah has been infiltrated by the bankrupt traitors (Ikhwanis), who have corrupted it. By Allah, whoever wants to learn the correct Salafiyyah with action (it's) in Dammaj...By Allah, they are the best people now.”

2. Sheikh Ahmad ibn Yahya An-Najmi rahimahullah

“Sheikh Yahyaa may Allah reward him a good reward has refuted him (Zindaani) in this short passages and in other places with a refutation that silences the adversary using decisive clear proofs from the Book and the authentic Sunnah, so may Allah reward him a good reward and bless him and may Allah make numerous the likes of him those who defend the truth and support Tawheed and gaurd its boundaries. And with Allah is success.”

▪️(طلبة الشيخ مقبل على العموم نعلم أنَّهم على السنة، أمَّا من زعم أنَّهم حدادية، فزعمه هذا باطل، وقوله هذا تجني، وبغي على طلبة الشيخ مقبل -رحمه الله-. وإنَّ معهد دماج الذي أسسه الشيخ مقبل -رحمه الله- في بؤرة التشيع، ووسط التشيع، فنشرت فيه السنة في تلك البقاع الَّتِي ما كان أحد يجرأ على الكلام فضلاً عن الرد عليهم، وقد نفع الله بطلاب الشيخ مقبل، فانتشرت بِهم السنة في جميع بقاع اليمن عدا نفرٌ قليلٌ منهم خالفوا عقيدة أهل السنة والجماعة الَّتِي رباهم ونشأهم عليها الشيخ مقبل -رحمه الله- وأخذوا بطريقة المبتدعة، وحسَّن لهم الشيطان طرق الابتداع، فهؤلاء لايعتبر بِهم، وإنَّما يعتبر بمن ثبتوا على السنة، ودانوا بِها ودعوا إليها، ووالوا وعادوا من أجلها، وأحبوا وأبغضوا من أجلها هؤلاء هم الذين يعتبر بِهم، وهم الذين سلكوا مسلك أهل الحديث والأثر، واتبعوا مذهب أهل السنة والجماعة؛ لذلك فإنَّي أقول: من يقول أنَّ هؤلاء حدادية، فهو باغٍ ظالم وعند الله الملتقى...)

“The students of Sheikh Muqbil, in general, we know that they are upon the Sunnah. As for those who claim that they are Haddaadiyyah, then their claim is baseless, a false accusation, and an injustice against the students of Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah. The institute of Dammaj which was founded by Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah is (located) within the  centre of Shiism, and in the midst of Shiism, yet the Sunnah was spread therein and in those places where no one would have dared to speak let alone respond to them. Allah has brought benefit by way of Sheikh Muqbil's students, and the Sunnah has spread by of them throughout various parts of Yemen. With the exception of a small group of them who violated the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaah (such as Abul Hasan Al-Ma'ribi), upon which Sheikh Muqbil rahimahullah cultivated them and nurtured them - and they took the method of the innovation, and Satan beautified for them the ways of innovation. These ones are not taken into consideration. Rather, consideration is given to those who adhere to the Sunnah, profess it, call to it, bear allegiance and disallegiance for its sake, and love and hate for its sake. They are the ones who followed the path of the people of hadith and Athar, and followed the doctrine of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. Therefore, I say: Whoever says that they are Haddaadiyyah, then he is a transgressor, an unjust person, and before Allah will be the meeting...”

▪️(فجزى الله أخانا الشيخ الفاضل الشيخ يحي خيراً وهنيئاً له لما حباه الله من الصبر على البحث والتنقيب عن الفوائد الحديثية والفقهية ... فقد اطلعت على كتاب الجمعة للشيخ يحي بن علي الحجوري فوجدته كتاباً عظيماً فيه فوائد تشد لها الرحال مع الحكم على كل حديث بما يستحقه، واستيعاب الموضوع، فهو كتاب كافٍ وافٍ في موضوعه، كيف لا يكون كذلك والشيخ يحي حفظه الله في غاية من التحري والتقى والزهد والورع وخشية الله، وهو قوَّال بالحق لا يخاف في الله لومة لائم، وهو -حفظه الله- قام بالنيابة عنِّي فِي دروس دار الْحَديث بدماج يلقيها على أحسن ما يرام)

“May Allah reward our esteemed brother, Sheikh Yahya, and we commend him for the patience that Allah has granted him to be able to research and examine for hadith and Fiqh related benefits...and I have looked through the book 'Al-Jumu’ah' by Sheikh Yahya ibn ‘Ali Hajoori and I found it to be a magnificent book. It contains beneficial matters of knowledge for which one ought to travel for, as well as giving every hadith its appropriate ruling, and encompassing the entire topic. So it is a complete book sufficient in this topic. And how can that not be the case while Sheikh Yahya is someone who gives his all in pursuit of what is best and in righteousness and leaving off those things which do not benefit in the hereafter (Zuhud), and piety and in fearing Allah. He is someone who speaks the truth in Allah's path and is not afraid of the criticism of the criticisors, and he (May Allah protect him) acts as my substitute in the lessons in Daarul Hadith in Dammaj, giving them in the best desired manner.”

“He has included therein benefits that one ought to travel for, such as discussing the hadith and the men in the chain of transmission and extracting fiqhi issues, all of which illustrate his expertise in the sciences of hadith and fiqh. I would not be exaggerating if I said that this work of his exceeds that of Al-Hafidh in 'Al-Fath' on this very chapter in terms of clarifying the condition and grading of every hadith.”

▪️(قال أخونا عبد الله ماطر وفقه الله: سألت الشيخ – يعني الإمام الوادعي- وأنا والله ليس بيني وبينه إلا الله عز وجل، وأنا في غرفته على سريره الذي ينام عليه. فقلت: يا شيخ إلى من يرجع إليه الإخوة في اليمن؟ ومن هو أعلم واحد في اليمن؟ فسكت الشيخ قليلا ثم قال: الشيخ يحيى)

'Abdullah Maatir waffaqahullah (one of the guards of Sheikh Muqbil) said that he asked Sheikh Muqbil (rahimahullah) at a Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, “Who should the brothers in Yemen return to? And who is the most Knowledgeable person in Yemen?” So the Sheikh remained quiet for a moment then said, “Sheikh Yahya”.

He has completed the Tahqeeq (verification & correction) of the book 'Islaah al Mujtama’ and other treatises containing beneficial matters of knowledge for which journeys are made in search of.
