In this training series you will learn the secret to transferring blendshapes across different topology characters. We'll cover migration methods similar to those used at the top studios behind Unreal MetaHuman, Ziva Dynamics Face Trainer, Snappers Facial Rig, PolyWink Transfer, and more. Too many Studios fall into a single topology asset pipeline limiting art direction and character flexibility. And even then, they have restrictions on the number of generations. Also, generative tools can be used during a free trial period of 7 days. That is, if you really need generative tools, then register a new ID on the Adobe website and log in to the program using the Help->Sign In menu. After 7 days, register a new ID. And so on until you get tired of it. There are no other ways, unfortunately.

There are many ways to create disintegration effects in Houdini, with most setups relying on complex logic and extensive VEX coding.

In this course, weโ€™ll take a straightforward approach that balances simplicity with flexibility and artistic control.

Alongside the core effect, weโ€™ll add particles and debris, set up a lighting environment in Solaris, and finish by compositing everything in Nuke.

What you will learn

Vellum FX
Using a growth attribute we can drive the Vellum Simulation, detaching pieces over time and making them disappear.

Particle FX
With Particles we can add additional layers and details to the effect, and also use them to scatter debris.

Solaris Assembly
Learn how to create custom shaders & materials, set up lights and create volumetric godrays.

Nuke Compositing
Bring everything together in Nuke and use simple techniques to greatly enhance the final look.
