Converting Gifts to NFTs is in The Upcoming Update

Strings related to converting gifts to NFTs have been found in the Telegram source code for Android. Users will be able to convert gifts into unique collectibles. They will probably have to pay for this operation with stars.

Collectibles can be:
• Sent to other users within Telegram.
• Sold for stars within Telegram.
• Sent to external blockchain addresses for sale on third-party NFT platforms (after the “unlock” period).

Collectibles will have attributes typical of NFTs:
• Unique number.
• Model.
• Background.
• Symbol.
• Information about origin (who gave it and when).

It is important to note that all information is based on lines of code from the application, so these features may undergo significant changes before release.

Конвертация подарков в NFT уже в грядущем обновлении

В исходном коде Telegram для Android обнаружены строки, касающиеся превращения подарков в NFT. Пользователи получат возможность превращать подарки в уникальные коллекционные предметы. Вероятно, эту операцию они должны будут оплачивать звёздами.

Коллекционные предметы можно будет:
• Отправлять другим пользователям внутри Telegram.
• Продавать за «Звёзды» внутри Telegram.
• Отправлять на внешние блокчейн-адреса для продажи на сторонних NFT-площадках (после периода «разблокировки»).

Коллекционные предметы будут иметь атрибуты, свойственные NFT:
• Уникальный номер.
• Модель.
• Фон.
• Символ.
• Информация о происхождении (кем и когда подарено).

Важно отметить, что все сведения основаны на строках из кода приложения, поэтому к релизу эти функции могут претерпеть значительные изменения.

Built-in Camera Gains QR Code Scanning Capability

The Beta version of Telegram for Android (11.6.0) now supports QR code scanning with the built-in camera, though with certain limitations.

Firstly, this feature is exclusive to the camera used for capturing stories. If you access the camera via the attach menu in a chat, the scanning functionality will not be available.

Chat Type Filter For Global Search

In the latest Beta version of Telegram for Android (11.6.0), users can now refine their global search results by selecting specific chat types to search within.

This new feature allows users to click the "From all chats" button on the global search screen and specify the scope of their search. Options include searching across all chats, private chats, groups, or channels.

However, this functionality currently not accessible at all times. For some search terms, the chat filter is only operational on the test server, while for others, it also works on the main server.

Встроенная камера научилась сканировать QR-коды

В Beta-версии Telegram для Android 11.6.0 появилась возможность сканировать QR-коды встроенной камерой. Но с несколькими оговорками.

Во-первых, такая функция есть только у той камеры, которая предназначена для съёмки историй. Если запустить камеру из меню «скрепки» в чате, функция сканирования доступна не будет.

Во-вторых, отсканировать можно только такой QR-код, который содержит ссылку на профиль пользователя, бота, публичной группы или публичного канала — словом, на что-то, у чего есть публичный юзернейм.

В-третьих, даже если сканировать QR-код публичного юзернейма, камера распознает его не всегда.

Фильтр чатов при глобальном поиске

В Beta-версии Telegram для Android 11.6.0 появилась возможность задать фильтр чатов, по которым приложение будет искать заданную фразу.

На экране глобального поиска пользователи могут нажать кнопку «From all chats» и выбрать, в каких чатах приложению следует искать введённую строку: во всех чатах, только в личных диалогах, в группах или в каналах.

На момент публикации этого поста фильтр чатов при поиске доступен не всегда: для некоторых поисковых фраз он доступен только на тестовом сервере, а для некоторых — также и на основном.
