Last night there was an explosion in Benaful, Southern Lebanon. It led to the destruction of the municipality building and a center for the Amal Movement. The blast also damaged several houses and cars.
One person was killed and seven injured. Ali Tawfiq al-Raz, the mayor's son, was killed in the Benaafol explosion.
A statement from the Amal movement: the explosion was due to oxygen cylinders that detonated from a fire caused by an electrical short circuit.
