Dear Wake One Entertainment,
It has come to our attention that staff at WAKEONE are abusing their power and are treating Ricky in an unacceptable manner.
On November 1st 2023 Kim Gyuvin and Park Gunwook were live together, shortly after Ricky started his own live only for it to come to an abrupt end. In the background of Kim Gyuvin’s live, staff were heard clearly yelling at Ricky asking why he didn’t tell them he started a live.
They are also heard using derogatory phrases towards him, such as asking him if he understood what they were saying in a tone that can be considered harsh to a foreigner. This continues to go on for 5 minutes until Kim Gyuvin ended his live.
In another live a few days before with member Han Yujin, a similar incident occurred where Ricky quickly had to leave the live due to staff, without even being given the chance to say goodbye to the fans.
This sort of treatment is completely unacceptable and we demand that WAKEONE takes action against this staff member and immediately rectifies treatment of Ricky from now on because it is mandatory that you treat him as an equal member of ZEROBASEONE.
Further, with the upcoming November comeback, we demand attention to these areas for improvement:
This is to express our concern regarding the promotion of Ricky. Ricky’s participation in TV/show appearances, and content showcasing his talent has been nonexistent. As fans, it is disappointing to see his limited appearances on TV and other media outlets. His immense popularity and talent are being squandered, and we ask that you will take this into consideration and give him the promotion and appreciation he deserves. He is an extremely valuable asset and we believe that increasing his visibility in all forms of media including but not limited to: TV/show appearances, uploading on social media, and lives (Instagram lives or unrestricted bubble lives) would be beneficial for him. We urge the company to provide more content of Ricky on social platforms and allow him to interact with fans on social platforms.
We firmly believe that Ricky has abilities that should be showcased and given opportunities to grow. We ask you to ensure a fair and inclusive representation of Artist RICKY in the future. We believe these actions will contribute to a fairer and more successful career trajectory for Ricky.
