🔥Memecoins occupy a leading position in the interest of crypto investors in 2024.

🦎 A CoinGecko study showed that this year memecoins took the first place in popularity in the cryptocurrency space: almost a third of investor interest was focused on memes.

🧬 Memecoins on Solana took the fourth largest place with a share of interest of almost 8%, and memecoins on the Base blockchain took the 11th place with a share of just over 2%.

Meanwhile, artificial intelligence-themed memecoins and cat-themed memecoins captured about 1.5%-1.2% of users' attention and took 15th and 16th places.

Memecoin's market capitalization currently stands at $113.2 billion, with 🐶DOGE and 📶SHIB leading the way. According to CoinGecko, they amounted to $49.3 billion and $13.8 billion.
