開中文書店嘅時候，確實冇估到會吸引咗唔少對香港同群眾運動有興趣嘅本地人專程上嚟，然而除咗店主破爛嘅英文之外，實在冇咩可以回應佢哋嘅熱情，直到新聞同藝術工作者方蘇向我哋推介「A Defiant City」。全書圖文並茂，239張素描加以文字，詳述由2019年頭首次反送中遊行，發展成全民運動，甚至影響到2020年初的台灣大選。
As a Hong Kong bookstore, we welcome a surprisingly high number of locals interested in our social movements. Yet there was nothing I could offer them except an introduction in my broken English. It’s exciting to introduce our first English book: “A Defiant City”, comprised of 239 sketches by Fong So alongside detailed descriptions, tells the whole story of the 2019 revolution.
